It seems like we always lose out on NJ guys. Have we ever had a big time recruit from NJ other than Andrew Bynum?

The reason Rutgers never gets put on probation is that the NCAA has a hard time finding witnesses willing to testify.

Don't know if you'd call him big-time, but K-Free played HS ball in NJ.
Thanks, one NJ player in all these years. Wow. How come NJ players don't want to go here? We do well in maryland but not in NJ.

Jersey and LI generally look at CT like a rich, preppy, arrogant cousin they have to deal with at family functions. Besides FfC, they also tend to attach us more to Boston than their New York. We're kind of the Tristater on the outside looking in from many of the NJ, LI, Bridge and Tunnel perspectives. Say what you will about it, but my alma mater 'Cuse really dominates Jersey recruiting, especially north Jersey, although I'd like to see Temple step up and pry some guys away, at least in the central and southern portions of the state.

I was told by a lame source that zona is way ahead. Yes he said he wants to stay close to home. (Prince said the same thing and ucla/Michigan are leading)

It is weird how people from NY and NJ stereotype CT like there is a big difference but when you go down south where the people are really different they don't stereotype you at all when you say you are from CT.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I heard from regional reporters that the prep coaches did not like Calhoun for different reasons.

Charlie V is from Queens and KFree was from Springfield, Mass, I don't really classify them as NJ kids like all of the other NJ catholic school kids we've missed on over the years who are actually from there.

Seriously cool for you, but Ive taken sh_t in the past in NC, Georgia, and Texas (they don't seem to like many non Texans, and from CT, with my personality, I was actually loathed). Although I think generally the historically older the area, the worse the stereotyping that goes on.

2015 G @_IsaiahBriscoe just dropped 61 points at the Tri-State Classic. No, that's not a typo: 6-1
