You're using Calhoun as the paradigm for a coach who modeled exemplary sportsmanship?Jim Calhoun lost his dad at 15 but I’m suppose to feel bad for Hurley because his who was the best HS coach in Jersey raised him to be competitive?
He’s 50 and suppose to be molding young men, not himself. It is not that hard to shutup and walk down a tunnel after your first tourney loss in 3 years.
We don’t have to talk about the childhood trauma of a grown suppose to be leader of men to excuse it.
People still watch that stuff? Sad!it was just mentioned on national news. Not a good look.

He said swear words. Did you carry on like this when Calhoun said swear words? Do you carry on like this when you hear an adult say a swear word in your personal life?Jim Calhoun lost his dad at 15 but I’m suppose to feel bad for Hurley because his who was the best HS coach in Jersey raised him to be competitive?

Come on man please don’t bring Calhoun down trying to defend Hurley. Calhoun’s had 100x the class and self control Hurley does.
We’re talking about the same coach who celebrated this shot for 2 seconds before getting himself together to make sure he showed class to the losing coach.
Calhoun never came off as acting like a child.
And we can find clips of Dan Hurley doing the exact same thing

Yes.
if it's a coach, a teacher, or anyone who is expected to be a role model, yes I have.

Specifically which ref? Some of you folks would cover for this guy if he stabbed a ref during the game.
Then what are we complaining about? Did you think he was perfect or something?it has nothing to do with the rest being able to handle it.
You think his former players feel corrupted? Kids feeling shy about enrolling at the school?coaches are supposed to be role models. Hurley's temper tantrums reflect poorly on the team and the school.
Agree with this but I actually do think it is somewhat intentional. It matches the role he plays in-game of positive reinforcement with players combined with berating the refs on missed calls. Seems like a defensive mechanism throughout to keep the players shielded in a way. Based on his own (admitted) insecurities along with the heat of the moment it leads to these viral happenings of popping off where he can take it a little too far. But you take the good with the bad with Hurley and the good far outweighs the bad. I do hate this is overshadowing a bit how well this team actually played yesterday. Executed so well, shots just didn't fall when they needed to.I know it isn't purposefully, but I do like that Hurley's antics kind of take some pressure off the players. Everyone's eyes are on coach being a wackadoodle, so they aren't asking Liam why he bricked 75% of his shots.
Thankfully we're over that nonsense.Golden not only got wildly outclassed in this matchup, but he's incredibly "fortunate" that this isn't the height of the #metoo movement because right now he would be former Florida coach Todd Golden.

Love JC but you are delusional and you romanticize him as some saint. Calhoun would call a timeout, run out to mid-court, and berate a player loudly with a finger in his face in front of he entire arena and nation on tv. He also went after reporters often and had arguments/feuds with them. They are well documented. He also didn't get along with the womens coach at the school(probably both their fault). He has turned around and told a fan to "shut ... up. Here is something for your reading:

I "swear" I remember a UConn coach blistering a reporter with F bombs upon questioning said coach's in state recruiting ability. Turned out OK then and is just fine nowALERT: National championship winning sports coach does not handle losing well!!!
Seriously though, I do not give a single care about Calhoun yelling at players or media or a fan because they were distracting him coaching.Love JC but you are delusional and you romanticize him as some saint. Nobody cared about his “antics” (lmao) when Hurley was beating the piss out of teams for two years. They waited until he had a down year. Pathetic
Did you watch the video of what I just posted?Love it. I would love to play for a coach like had our backs. Shake called out the big east refs and st. John’s. No one said boo
And Hurley was right. Baylor got hosed.
