Why do you care what 2 dozen PC Fans think about Boneyarders? Even if they were in OUR head I am sure the players don't care what's in OUR head and will be just fine..Why do we do silly $#!t like this? The half dozen or so PC lurkers are going to take this back to whatever board they post on and claim they are in our heads and we view them above any other rival (that in itself is unimportant as they can promote any delusions they want in their board).
What it will do is provide the handful of their fans (who, when they feel brave, start annoying us on this board claiming the programs are peers and that each needs the other) sufficient internet cajones to return here for a week or so.
Biggest game this weekend?I refuse to say any game against Providence is the 'biggest game' of anything.
That’s what I meant originally. Then everyone went big brain and reminded me that a game in December isn’t as valuable as the NCAA tournamentlol no
Maybe the most exciting? Especially the anticipation
It will be. 5:00pm on a Saturday? The "suits" are going to be hammered.I'm looking forward to a 90's style atmosphere in a sold out HCC. The type of crowd that helps with recruiting
Games against tiny schools are never BIG.
Games versus Providence in the Jim Calhoun days was WW III. Hope we can rekindle that tradition in the Hurley era. Sometimes even more open warfare than against BC. “ Those were the days my friend we thought they would never end………ra ra ra ra ra ra…….”I can’t remember the fan base being more excited for a game since then. Full house…. National TV… Huskies. PC fans in the building beware…
I recall those games being a battle. No not the same as against GeorgeTown but Providence and UConn spilled blood. Well mostly figuratively.PC has never been the biggest game in any season.
Well, maybe for the Friars but never for us.
Thanks. that is my take on Providence vs UCONN. It was intense but the Friars did not turn the other cheek as a guy from long ago once said…Yeah, but UConn-PC games are intense in person.
I have said that we need to think BIG….Nova and Gonzaga?
On the national stage, UConn is a small school to many
The crowd will let you know what they think
I don't think anyone is talking in terms of importance. More so in terms of excitement. This is our fans first time back in the building for a Big East game. Add into that we are ranked with expectations.Biggest games I can remember:
1. Maryland in 2021 tourney - obvious reasons but also for Hurley to take next step, recruiting moment on big stage
2. Syracuse win in Hurley's first year - rival, establish confidence in Hurley as a coach, recruiting moment against a NE recruiting foe
This Providence game might not even be top 15 or 20 for me.
It’s pretty much sold out alreadyI'll have a good time... but no.
Should be a loud sellout. First non-cupcake in almost 2 years.
As a Saturday afternoon game that young kids can attend without being out late at night there was a lot of pre buy for that my guess. My grandson got this game as a holiday gift. It’s pretty much sold out already
I’m going to attempt to get tickets this evening. Wish me luck lolAs a Saturday afternoon game that young kids can attend without being out late at night there was a lot of pre buy for that my guess. My grandson got this game as a holiday gift.
You can alway get one close to game time outside the entry, especially close to tipI’m going to attempt to get tickets this evening. Wish me luck lol
I've been told that before.I think you have 2 too many n's.
God shamgod? The only Friar from our meetings I really remember is John Linnnehan(?). He was a great player, an amazing pest. Fun to watch in a perverted way as he was a thorn in the side of the Huskies.
