Let's see:
  • Towers (Kingston) for a semester until I got thrown out of housing
  • Squatted in girlfriend's dorm in North
  • Squatted in friend's dorm in East
  • Squatted in girlfriend's dorm in McMahon
  • Hilltop Suites for a couple years when they let me back into housing
  • Charter Oak apartments
  • Hilltop apartments
  • Didn't live at Stone House but spent more time there than elsewhere for a year
I think that's it.

Nah definitely none of those things lol

They did have parties. I think they called it “Trap House” or something.

I feel like these house names must be changed every few years because I’ve never heard of most of them. I do remember a red house but for all I know it could have been a different house painted red.

Yeah they made up that name.

But, this wasn’t on Hunting Lodge.

I think the Hunting Lodge house names got passed down.

there are at least two red houses. I also saw a single house change names 4 times so they definitely do vary. The only ones I know that have had their names for a long time are the Dime, Puke House and Mushroom House

Never heard of any of those either. I also went there before Carriage and Celeron were neutered so the house party scene wasn’t big at all except rugby house I guess.

I walk by campus today - and I went to UCONN in the late 1970s - there’s not much change. Don’t get taking away the Jungle moniker. But most look the same; with the exception being a bold different South & Charter Oak & others. Same alumni - McMahon - East - Towers etc. Oak at Storrs Center? Every big school has that now.

The academic core is amazingly upgraded. All components. And in 1979, it still looked like 1955.

Did they redevelopment? Yes. Landscape? Yes. Fix that big issue with Babbidge Library? Yes. Good food? Kinda. Kegs in your room? Huh? And then lugging it to soccer games? Nope. ROTC dances? Pub on campus?

Ok. Somehow you must be having fun.

Ok, these videos restored my faith that UConn students are more or less the same as they've always been:

Freshman Year: Crandall A (87-88)
Sophomore Year: Crandall A (88-89)
Junior Year: Walden Apartments (89-90)
1st Senior Year: Crandall A (90-91)
2nd Senior Year: Crandall A (91-92)
3rd Senior Year: Walden Apartments (92-93)

As you can see I was more interested in the partying scene then studying as it took me 6 years for a 4 year degree.
