Oddly enough, I was hearing the same thing about our squad around this time last year. Stuff like we've got Shabazz and who else. But then Giffey ended up shooting almost 50% from the 3 and Daniels turned into a stud. I can't wait to see who else steps up this year...

Exactly. If we just beat Florida, and say we drop 2-3 in conference, and then get upset in the AAC's, we could very well be NIT bound.

However, being the defending national champions has some pull with the committee I think.

No, Nelson is right. We don't have a quality win. And if we only beat Florida (who fell on their face), is like a Dayton-esque win. There are no ranked teams in conference this year. We're in trouble if we don't win some OOC games.

Ah, the crap AAC conference problem. These last 2 losses would mean next to nothing otherwise with an entire decent conference slate ahead. I'm concerned about not getting tested when we need it the most later in season.

It certainly wouldn't hurt if Amidah showed up more than a few minutes each half. He played better in the second half but his hands ugh. I agree that we need better shooting but what we really need are easier baskets. Amidah cleaning up some loose change would help.
