the candy stripe pants from IU are horrible, but very catchy.

Uconn should adopt a similar pant, except use horizontal rings or bands instead of the vertical stripes.
And add one ring for each championship. So their current pants would have three stripes on one leg. Even put the year on the band to mark the event.

Those stripes would be very prison like

Does anyone want the "PC's would just be one solid color" joke? It's sitting there on a tee.

PC's uniforms should be red. I can't imagine their basketball team brings in much money for the school.

Actually, PCs men's team turns enough of a profit to fund the entire athletic department.

And you pretty much have UConn and Louisville to thank for that. It's about to get leaner.

We had the striped warm-up pants in the 70's when Rowe was there, think Indiana never changed since.

Kind of like the ‘blood stripes’ on Han Solo’s pants?
IU’s striped warm-up pants on the players are OK, its tradition. Looks foolish on the fans though, a couple were right on the court opposite the team benches.

more than a couple... a guy in front of me was wearing a dress shirt, sportcoat, and those pants.
his wife was wearing a more form fitting version (nice until she turned around)...
There were a lot of those striped pants in the crowd.

I still think it would be a cool tradition to add a stripe for every NC. would connect the players to the program and the success that has come before them. would also remind everyone we play just how successful the program has been, and what is expected at Uconn...

I spent most my career owning a sales promotion/design agency and these suggestions are similar to the ideas from clients that caused us severe eye rolling. Nike has highly accomplished award winning professional designers who know what they are doing. You don't hire Picasso to produce a painting then have amateurs stand over his shoulder and tell him what colors to use.

i worked for Nike... they are good, but they aren't infallable.
they've actually struggled over the past few years to come up with the next 'iconic' design.

Nobody is infallible but my money is on professional designers before executing ideas that come from posters on a fan forum. Marty, it is just an old pet peeve of mine and nothing personal. A career of listening to idiotic clients who secretly feel they do better if they only had the time will do that to you. It comes down to recognizing design trends and having the creative skill to execute them. Everybody feels free to comment on design no matter little they know.

Two rules my friend in college came up with in college:
1) Nothing is mysterious
2) People are stupid
and one caveat was added to 2):
Even stupid people sometimes have a good idea.

I believe that there is some homage to the number of national championships that we have won on our uniform. On the back of the jerseys there are three stars. I think so anyways.
