I’m not looking forward to the next couple of days

Pathetic effort from the preparation from the coaches to the free throws.

Looks like every player on the team and the coaches have hit the freshman wall.

Am I being too harsh?
 
Very disappointing to watch..on the bright side..there is no bright side..:(

Maybe I have slipped into the Bizarro universe where ASU beats 2 top 5 teams in 3 days and where the Massey No 157 team can out muscle and out hustle the Massey No 3.
 
Meh. This team is what it is. Capable of playing Baylor tough for 36 minutes, then looking like a Division 2 school against one of the worst teams in the American Conference.

Disappointed and surprised for sure, but at this point I'm sort of zen about it - if the team doesn't seem to care, not much we can do about it, and certainly screaming and yelling won't change anything. Where's my Sponge-Bob (kudos to anyone who gets that reference!!!) :D

Frankly I see it as a case of UConn wilting like a delicate flower in the paint. There's no toughness on this team. I guess it's just that they are inexperienced but they seem more worried about doing something wrong than about doing something positive. And those that do positive things do them alone while the other 4 watch.
 
Is it a good or a bad thing that the UCF game is in only two days?

They won the game. Yay!

Liv shot a couple of sky hooks and made at least one (can't remember if she made the first or not). I'd like her to not dribble and just get the ball in the post and turn and shoot. There's noone in WCBB that can block her sky hook if she shoots it that way.

I wouldn't want to do the post game interview when Geno is in a crabby mood...:D

Rankings can be interesting but obviously meaningless. An opponent is as good a team as they play in that game and that’s why ideally, you respect every team in your approach to that particular game.
Certainly this is a Uconn team that has flaws and weaknesses and they have been exposed more than once this season. The only one I will mention now, because it is the one most telling for me, is that far too often this season it appears opponents are just playing much harder than Uconn.

Geno said it wasn't gonna be pretty this year. We won, nobody got hurt. We got another game in a couple days. Nobody is gonna remember this game come March. Probably not even Memphis.

Told ya'll they'd spend too much time out on Beale eating too much BBQ, listening to blues. :cool:
 
This team doesn't have any automatic points in it. They just need to D up and run their stuff.

The problem with that approach is; She walks. I think UCONN advised her to dribble to eliminate those turnovers. Sadly, when she dribbles, she loses control too easily.

You could be absolutely correct but what confuses me is that we were #5 in the Preseason poll.
Sometimes it seems like the pollsters haven't a clue but other times they seem almost uncanny with their preseason predictions. So confused...
