You know, the live shot and the first replay I thought "good catch, but nothing unusual for a MLB outfielder, especially him". Then on the second replay from the side, I thought "holy crap!"
Agreed. This is my first time seeing the side view. Looks way more impressive.

And a fine debut for the kid! Scoreless inning for Oberg and he's greeted in the dugout by his teammates.

#UConn baseball: Rockies' Scott Oberg made MLB debut w/ scoreless inning, got credit for W at SF Tuesday night.

George Springer is in a slump to start the season and hopefully Mike Olt's injury doesn't keep him on the bench that much longer as Bryant is going to be called up soon.

They are all struggling, Springer Olt Ahmed all hitting around .150. Barnes got bounced around in his first AAA start.

Mike Olt is never going to have playing time with the Cubs. Only chance is with another franchise. Someone will give him a chance because if he just hits .230 he's a contributor with his power and glove.

He's had that arm since his UConn days. Ball just explodes out of his hand.

Poor kid can't shake the injury bug. From yesterday:
Cubs place 3B Mike Olt on 15-day DL http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasybaseball/update/25152605

>>The Cubs placed third baseman Mike Olt on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 15, with a hairline fracture in his right wrist, per the team's official website. Olt will have a cast on his wrist for three weeks before he resumes his rehab.

Third base prospect Kris Bryant was promoted to take his place at third base. Olt batted .154 on 13 at-bats before landing on the DL.<<

@UConnGIFs: “@astros: #SPRINGERDINGER. George Springer blast his first homer of the season deep to left"

Matt Barnes hitting 98 mph on the radar today. Wow. I don't remember that kind of heat when he was a Husky.

He routinely hit 96/97 as a starter so it doesn't surprise me he can hit 98 out of the pen.

I would think a young athlete's body and arm would continue to mature and gain strength into his early to mid 20's. It would be no surprise to me that Barnes is now able to throw a bit harder now, just as he was able to throw harder in college than in high school.

Barnes with a solid 2.03 ERA this season over 13.1 innings. We'll ignore his Whip, he's still a young pup.

Someone made an error behind Barnes which led to I think a 4 run inning. Only 2 runs were earned which is why his ERA is still so low but did he allow 2 or 3 extra base runners as a result which does inflate his WHIP. Overall I'd say his ERA should be around 3.00 but his WHIP should probably be much better than the currently terrible 1.73. He's also young as you said so he's just trying to figure things out at the big leage level right now. I think he'll be fine in the long run.

Astros have hit skids a bit, but Springer was 5-5 yesterday and is now hitting a decent .254 after a very slow start (they bat him Leadoff now with Altuve second). I was worried he was teetering on the edge of a demotion back in early May. Good D in the outfield helped, I'm sure. He also has 13 stolen bases now. If he puts it all together, 30-30 will be possible in another year or two. 40-40 might be too optimistic, but we'll see.

40-40 is too optimistic simply because 40 homeruns is a very rare plateau in today's pitching dominated game. Assuming he puts it all together I would bet on 30-30 (peak, not average).
