Wow, nine players is a lot more than I expected. Janurary 8th is nine days away. Based on the timeline, I guess more players tested positive or started to have symptoms the last two days for Hurley to say that we will have players missing the Seton Hall game on the 8th.

I am sorry to hear about everyone getting sick. These are kids and families that work in profession where it is nearly impossible to avoid the slight contact that the omicron variant seems to need. Thank goodness for vaccination and what seems to be less virulence to go along with that high transmissibility. Happy New Year all and stay safe

No it's not. The vaccine cuts down on severe outcomes, not getting the disease.

The vaccines do both. They protect people by blocking the acquisition of the disease by some people and also reduce the effects of virus for other people.
