What a crock. I grew up on those games too. Never saw Thompson or Rollie or Calhoun or Boeheim or Looie throw themselves on the floor and kick like a 2-year old. There was a certain level of “performance art” in what those guys did. But they were always under control. Hurley has lost control on occasion. To his credit Hurley never berates his players in games. At least I can’t remember any times. Maybe early in his career at UConn?
He said his modus operandi is to be hard on them in practice and supportive of them during games.
