If the left-coast Huskies can beat out the almighty Duke and Syracuse for Isaiah Stewart because of his relationship with Hopkins and Stewart's desire to be different and leave a legacy, then we darn sure still have a chance with Precious with the relationship built by Hurley and Kimani Young to beat out UNC and St. John's.

And even if we do not get him, I agree with Austin and the rest of you who feel that it is a positive that Hurley and Young are still all in on Precious. Hurley and co. need to test their mettle against the big boys to give us a better shot in these types of recruiting battles going forward. Far different situation from Ollie, who was getting outworked and outplayed too often, and didn't seem to be learning from his experiences with the 5*'s (Diallo, Reddish, etc...).

One thing we have learned is that our current group of coaches from Hurley right down the line do not get outworked for anyone they really want. The future is finally looking bright again.

Hurley will not be outworked on the recruiting trail.

He is not only putting in the time, but he is smart and realistic about who he is recruiting. UConn got their main target at the PG (Gaffney), SG (Bouknight), and PF (Akok). Yes we missed on Kofi but we were in it till the end, and very close to getting him to commit.

My point is Hurley would not be wasting his time on Precious if there was not a very realistic chance of landing him.

If we get Precious (fingers crossed) do we back off of Wahab OR are we pushing somebody out next season?

Not a good 1st half for Precious. His team is up 15 without him doing anything.

There was about 30 people total for the last game.....not a good showing but Hurley was there till the bitter end.

Really bad showing first half. I think 0/6 and a couple turnovers.

I saw Montverde play in person last weekend. Beverly is a stud - needs to fill out a bit more, but he's a play maker.

Precious dominated in that game hitting from deep, moved without the ball well and got into passing lanes on D. Guy plays above the rim and has nice touch with elite athleticism.

Precious wasn't good but always hustled back on defense and shows effort. This is the first time I've seen him play and he's not quite as polished as I thought he would be, but obviously a very talented prospect who would help us tremendously.

Maybe it means he’s trying too hard in front of Hurley? Actually a good sign?
