Not true. For the same reason that OSU is Ohio State and not Oregon State or Oklahoma State.
Ohio State is tOSU.

Neither is trade marked . There can’t be more than one trademark and both have legit claims. Therefore, none.I guess they are both trademarked USC?
We do have too much time on our hands! Between golf, pickleball, bocce, bingo, bunco, poker, book clubs, gym, walking & biking on the Heritage Trail...I still have time to argue over common sense.Debating USC ? Talk about people having too much time on their hands.
You've inadvertently proved my point, VCock!!Neither is trade marked . There can’t be more than one trademark and both have legit claims. Therefore, none.
Also, you cannot trademark common expressions or sets of letters. What you can trademark is letters that are part of a logo, like the NY Yankees logo which has been trademarked since 1977.Neither is trade marked . There can’t be more than one trademark and both have legit claims. Therefore, none.
Yea UConn fans never do that after a lossOn some of the SC fan pages I was shocked to see some Gamecock fans call for a HC change. I get the disappointment in Columbia over the bad loss to UConn. But the idea of getting rid of Dawn Staley, who turned SC’s WBB program into a national powerhouse while winning 3 national championships is absolute crazy talk.
oldude, your posts are the best on this board. So gotta say I was a bit taken aback to read that you had been looking at SC fan pages. On some of the SC fan pages I was shocked to see some Gamecock fans call for a HC change. I get the disappointment in Columbia over the bad loss to UConn. But the idea of getting rid of Dawn Staley, who turned SC’s WBB program into a national powerhouse while winning 3 national championships is absolute crazy talk.
If you flip the script and UConn would've lost by 29 pts alot of posters on this board would've been out on a ledge screaming the same thing. If I was a fan of SC and watched the complete dismantling of their team yesterday I would think the sky was falling too. Watching them play I just didn't see the star power that many other teams have and nobody has three #1 overall recruits on the floor except UConn.
This was agonized over, over on the general board. Why is there "a" real USC? Aren't they both USC?
ExactlyIt has taken me years to see USC as South Carolina. Damn confusing.
If I Google U$C, I get "Ulcerative Coitis"!!!This was agonized over, over on the general board.
Consensus:
The USC of Anthony Davis and Cheryl Miller is now U$C.
South Carolina remains SC.
Some midwest fans threatened a lawsuit if anyone tried to become tUSC.![]()
