Doesn't take much business acumen to understand that Texas and Oklahoma want to play in one of two of the richest and most powerful conference.

The Big Ten may have to counter this move one day soon. No idea who'd be their best options.
The Big Ten has no short term move to adequately respond to OU and TX joining the SEC. They do have a long term move though: UVA, UNC, GA Tech, and FSU (with VA Tech and NC St going to the SEC). It could be just those four Big Ten-bound, or they could potentially consider Clemson as team 19 (though they’re currently not AAU members) and then team 20 would be Norte Dame (if they’d join since the ACC would basically be toast), with UConn over Kansas (I think) as the backup option since that would give the Big Ten a stronger presence in the New England market, which would otherwise be devoid of a power conference football team (due to the ACC’s depletion). As for UNC not leaving Duke, remember how Texas wouldn’t leave Texas Tech and OU wouldn’t leave OK St? Whoops, that’s out the window. Duke and UNC will make sure to schedule each other in basketball and whatever other sports they have a rivalry in.

Big 12 (8) should add Cincinnati, Houston, UCF and USF. If they want to go to 14, throw in Memphis and maybe Tulane.

Metro Conference Deluxe.
I'll be really interested to see if anyone else gets picked up by other conferences. Maybe a few do, but this is going to be a wake-up call for many of the basement dwellers.

Why not? K's gone.
Why not take Duke too? I don't think this is going to happen, but if you're raiding the ACC just kill it. Virginia-UNC-Duke takes out the best academic/full ADs. Add GT or someone else (or a few others)

Miss HFD's slashes here, but so it goes.

Rumors out there of negotiations with USC/UCLA and the B1G.

USC and UCLA refused to agree to a GOR with the PAC12 in recent negotiations.

The barrier to full scale realignment Armageddon right now is the ACC GOR that goes through 2035. The one solution to that would be a full scale power grab coordinated between the B1G and SEC to kill off the ACC and grab all the power and money. Individual teams cannot get out of the ACC GoR. But I believe if they can get 10 schools to vote to dissolve the conference, the conference and the GoR are dissolved.

The B1G takes Virginia, North Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Florida State.

The SEC takes Virginia Tech, NC State, Miami, and Pitt along with Texas and Oklahoma.

That would give them 10 votes needed to disband the ACC. And creates two 20 team super conferences that hold all of the power and control.

Not likely to happen, but it would be fascinating to watch the war it would create.
