Thank you, Padre Gump.Mojo is as mojo does.

Thank you, Padre Gump.Mojo is as mojo does.

Ok, Maybe Stanford gets a draw in 1 matchup, but loses the other 4.yea, Chiney is pretty long too and uncanny leaping and rebounding ability.

And UConn's bench will be historically ridiculous.Ok, Maybe Stanford gets a draw in 1 matchup, but loses the other 4.![]()
it's unlikely Breanna starts. i'd say offhand that Chiney is matched up against Kelly. or KML. i don't doubt that Bree gets 25 minutes per game as she's that good, but Bree as a freshman vs. Chiney as a junior - with one starting for sure and one probably not - won't exactly be the matchup that decides the game IMHO...
plus, with Nneka leaving, what other "superstar" will Stanford have? at this point IIRC, Tinkle has worked her way into the starting lineup? so you probably start Kokenis, Laroque, Greenfield, Chiney O, and Tinkle? if that matches up against Doty, Hartley, Faris, KML and Dolson/Stokes, i think you have to put Chiney on KML if you go man since Taylor won't be able to stop KML IMHO, and we've found teams can sag off of Kelly on the scoring side allowing Taylor and Chiney to double KML, or Chiney and Joselyn to double Stef...
IMHO UCONN's best lineup will probably be Hartley, Faris, KML, Bree, and Dolson/Stokes - at least from a scoring perspective as well as defensively. i don't know if Doty's knees will ever be 100%, but i know being the warrior she is, she will contribute however she can. anyhoo... at that point, pick your poison - Chiney vs. Bree would be fun to watch, but you have to admit as a whole, it's a lineup that favors UCONN...
are Camp, Ruef, and Boothe out for the year? i think Mashore is right? u guys should get a lot of "fresh blood" next year but i'm not sure if they will just make your bench deeper, or if any of them will be a potential starter... but i'll admit Stanford could be stronger than i'd anticipated if some of those guys coming back prove to be really good.

Cardfan's starting lineup for next year looks right to me, except you'd have to call Orrange the 1 and Kokenis the 2. Kokenis can play either position (right now she is the best 1 *and* the best 2 that we have... wish we could clone her), but Orrange doesn't shoot well enough to be considered a 2. This year when they are in together, Orrange usually brings the ball up. Toni moves to the 1 when Orrange goes out.
Also, before Camp was injured, she was starting ahead of Orrange. She is a better shooter, so she might beat out Orrange again next year if healthy.

how many point did KML have against Stanford, did she start (how many minutes did she play)?![]()
not my point... Eric was suggesting that BStew wouldnt start etc. so I was just saying how KML didnt start etc. and look how effective she was.Chiney won't guard KML
so what was your point? just because Bree doesn't start doesn't mean she won't get starters minutes or maybe even being the top scorer on the team next year. Heck, KML was the leading scorer this year before her slump...not my point... Eric was suggesting that BStew wouldnt start etc. so I was just saying how KML didnt start etc. and look how effective she was.
We already played ND without Stokes or Banks, and a rusty Doty. Now we get to play them at home or on neutral courts. If Kantner shows up, I'm worried, otherwise not so much. We're headed to Maples next season, right? If so, Stanford's streak is toast.
Going to be interesting to see if UConn's streak makes it through this season. Certainly feasible, but ND at the end of the month will be tough, as will the BET (which counts, right?).
if KML busted STANFORD why cant BStew... starting or not. thats my point
welp lets lock this thread upyou can't equate KML's success at home on the 3rd game of the season vs. a green Stanford backcourt to what BStew would potentially do at Stanford vs. Chiney or Tinkle (or frosh centers). Apples and Oranges.

E Im with you.so what was your point? just because Bree doesn't start doesn't mean she won't get starters minutes or maybe even being the top scorer on the team next year. Heck, KML was the leading scorer this year before her slump...
but i think i was originally responding to Cardfan's comments that Chiney would be guarding Bree, which may happen when Bree is in, but I don't think she starts so... Usually when people talk about matchups, they talk about the starting 5 of one team vs. the other, then the "bench" as a whole.
course, a team comprised of our "1st 5" off the bench (probably Moriah, Brianna, Morgan, Bree and Kiah) would certainly be a top 10 team, and probably top 5 IMHO, even tho it's 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores.
oh. i was getting confused. and that's not difficult lol...E Im with you.
BStew will be a post player IMO... and Stanford will put their most talented/mobile player (Chiney) on her and whomever will guard Stef/Tuck & Stokes
nah its going to be BStew's fault that yall lose![]()
I think Chiney can hang with her.
You really don't want to compare rosters for next year, do you?
I'm not talking rosters, just Chiney on BS. Chiney did a pretty job on Moore at Stanford, so just saying.
Sorry Cardfan, but neither of us know if Chiney can cover Stewart.
of course I don't know, but I am betting she can.
Yeah, with your post with that horrid emoticon.Eric this is were it all started...

Dragging in my posts? Stirring things up?
If was just some friendly bantering between Cardfan and I. I'm sure Cardfan had no issues with it.
