On the men's side, Duke's buzzer-beater last night ended UNC's school record of 31 straight at home.

On the women's side, Miami extended theirs to 38 straight, third longest current streak.

Stanford has a whopping 74 in a row.

UConn's current streak is the NCAA record of 98. They do it one game at a time, one possession at a time. I'm hoping for about 60 excellent possessions against Georgetown. Let's win the next one and go from there.

We're headed to Maples next season, right? If so, Stanford's streak is toast.

Going to be interesting to see if UConn's streak makes it through this season. Certainly feasible, but ND at the end of the month will be tough, as will the BET (which counts, right?).

The streak includes all games at Gampel or XL. These include regular season, the BE tourney, and NCAA tourney, I believe.

Bridgeport games do not count, nor do exhibition games.

Yes, I think we go to Maples next year. We will have Breanna; the Cardinal will not have Nneka.

Just as Maya was integral to the 90-game overall streak, she was the key to the home streak. She NEVER list at home in 4 seasons. Magnificent! Maya for Governor!

All games in Storrs and Hartford count...

"Connecticut's previous home loss was against Rutgers in the Big East tournament title game in 2007, which was played in Hartford. The NCAA recognizes Connecticut's postseason games played in Hartford or Storrs as home contests."

So then, when was the last regular season home loss? How many wins in a row, not counting post season?

Last regular season home loss was to Tennessee 1/6/07. Don't have time to do the counting right now, but will later if someone doesn't in the interim.

With two packed XL UConn home games, ND will have a hard time winning either game.

I'm not sure it will be at Maples. Initially heard it might be at San Jose arena therefore wouldn't count. Maybe Oakland too? I don't know, but will ask this weekend.

If we do play at Maples, it's a done deal that we would be toast. We will still be very good.

Has Stanford ever played a home game at a place other than Maples before?

Nope. All games at the San Jose Arena were not counted as home games per se, including UConn, I think it was '99. It was a tourney.

One thing lost in the discussion of Wolverines is they were vanquished twice by Nittany Lions.

You really don't want to compare rosters for next year, do you?
Yeah, I agree that Stanford will be better than solid, but UConn will have the wrath of God roster next season. I have a tough time seeing anyone but Baylor hanging.

I'm not talking rosters, just Chiney on BS. Chiney did a pretty job on Moore at Stanford, so just saying.
