Hey Rick waive on the way back

I actually wanted St John's because I'm a conference fan. I wanted them to represent

However, now that they choked out, I'm going to laugh at the wannabes. They deserve it
Me too. Since they were our conference champs, I wanted them to represent the conference well and at least advance to the second weekend and not lose to a 10 seed. Not that I expected them to run the table like UConn did as conference champs last year.
Just sad that they had to disgrace the conference like that. Thanks a lot Johnnies

That wasn't the first time St John;s disgraced the conference and it won't be the last.

"Trap" (2024)

Josh Hartnett stars in this M Night Shyalaman movie. He's a serial killer who takes his daughter to a concert. During the show, the police and FBI surround the arena.

Overall, its entertaining. Not worth a second watch, tho.

Is the SEC good again? Trying to keep track

They were never bad, but the bottom of the conference weren’t world beaters either. Good enough to be lower seeds and nothing more. Arkansas was the main glitch and that is because they underachieved all year as they are the most talented team from the SEC.

The top SEC teams are that good though, and UF is one of them. Doesn’t mean they aren’t beatable, just that they are very good.

I’m an outlier on this board in that I get a kick out of Cal. He’s a blowhard and he’s full of but he also knows it. He’s in on the joke. And he’s a hell of a friendly dude off the court. Pitino’s just a villain. I know we’re supposed to root for the BE but I loved it.

Couldn’t agree more. I never met Cal but my good friends old man golfed w him once down at the jersey shore. The day started w him not liking Cal much from what he saw on tv. It ended w him absolutely loving him. Fast fwd a few years and my friends Dad saw Cal at some sort of sports banquet. Thinking he would have to remind Cal of the day they golfed, it was the opposite. The moment Cal saw him he went staright to him, “Hey Jim, how’s the golf game”. My friends dad was floored. Cal is that type of guy. Pitino is the opposite. He plays the salesman role fine when things are going well like most of this year. The moment that tide turns, and it always does w him, Slick Rick’s true colors come out.

Awesome season slick Ricky……best season in 40 years results in a first weekend exit

So how long will it take until he parachutes out of that hell hole??
With Ripole backing him and de facto free agency in college basketball? Not anytime soon.

I was at the 6 games in Providence and enjoyed seeing Self, Calipari and Pitino. They’re all legendary coaches. Cal and Pitino add an element of entertainment which I enjoy.

St. John’s sometimes has trouble shooting the ball. Yesterday was one of those days. After Rick’s comments, I’d love to win today and have UConn be the only BE team in the Sweet 16. That would be tremendous. Let’s get it done.

I give RP credit. Putting a team together the way he did, and coaching them up enough to win the Big East season and tournament was a helluva feat. Everyone knew that shooting was St. John's achilles heel, but they were able to win in spite of that, through hustle and determination. It was one of the greatest single season coaching jobs in BE history, although it was aided by a transfer portal. I'm a fan, and admirer, of great coaches in any sport, accomplishing what he did, at a school that's not exactly a recruiting magnet, and at the age of 72 earns my applause.

Eh, Pitino's woof was all in fun. Now we gotta hear about Cal being back all week. Makes me want to stick a spindle* in my ear.
