But congrats to the man Hawkins. It’s not easy to be put in conversations with Ray Allen at UConn, which tells you what kind of prospect he is. He’s gonna represent us in the league for a long time, and make tons of money. Program legend.

Thanks for choosing UConn and winning us a championship. Thanks for playing through injury and gutting it out against Miami when you were clearly sick as a dog. So much of the offense worked this season because everyone gameplanned around not letting you get any space.

You're right up there with Ray as the prettiest jumper in a Husky jersey. Now onto being a lottery pick and all the awesome stuff that comes along with that.

The impressive part is he lived up to it. That kid is a stone cold killer. Quiet demeanor, but ice in his veins. Some team is going to get themselves a steal

I still don’t get why all mocks have Gradey Dick higher than Hawkins. Other than height, Hawkins is a better shooter/tougher shot maker, more athletic, a better defender, and has a much higher ceiling.

Completely forgot about the “flu” game in my post. But that’s the type of gutting it out for your team that less invested stars wouldn’t bother with. A great example of his character and toughness.

This was all after going through the concussion issues that threatened his career. The mental fortitude to overcome all his physical setbacks this year speaks for itself. That willpower will serve him well in the league.

Over/under how many posts until someone says he needed to come back for “X” reason?
Different kid. Personally, I’d like to see him stay and get a years more strength and conditioning, but he’s ready.

Oh, it’s always so good to see these kids get to live their dream. I wish him the absolute best.

I firmly believe an NBA team's staff has the capability to get him some strength and conditioning
