Saw this on Instagram and it made me think of what other players were good or very good in the NBA, but probably not Hall of Fame worthy? Figured I would pose the question to the BY. Guys like Rip, Shawn Kemp, Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudemire came to mind for me.

Not even sure Rashard Lewis deserves to be in the Hall of Pretty Good.

Guys that I always think of: Kevin Johnson, Deron Williams, Jermaine O’Neal.

Yes it is. I have lost my interest in baseball. I’m excited to watch Giant’s football until week 4 when the season is over, but it’s down to UCMBB for me pretty much now. And golf at times.
I get it. Some of these off topics are hysterical. Baseball is great once the games actually mean something.

UConn's most "pretty good" player is a fun topic, honestly. Can't be someone that got into the Huskies of Honor. We can debate if people that earned All-Conference honors but aren't in the HoH are too good or the right level. The Rashard Lewis example (2x All-Star, 0x All-NBA) is our guide. Nick Van Exel is in, Danny Graner is in, Kyle Korver is in, Jamaal Tinsley and Mehmet Okur didn't make the cut. The line seems to require some accolades, you can't just be a journeyman.

Is Christian Vital too good (1st Team All-Conference, but it was in a mediocre AAC)? Is Isaiah Whaley good enough? Tyrese Martin (all-conference tournament but never all-conference) seems to be right in the zone.

Good topic- Rashad Anderson? Josh Boone?

The entire Kansas City/Omaha Kings franchise. Actually, perhaps they should be inducted into the newly created, “Almost was, never good enough.”

LaMarcus Aldridge would be top of the heap in the HOPG. The top 46 all-time scorers are all in the HoF, or will be when they retire. Aldridge is #47.

I don't know why not given the OP made this an NBA topic. Uncle Cliffy leads our contingent, followed by Rudy and Rip.

Honestly, I don't think Rudy should even be in the HoH. Cliffy helped change the program. Rip has a ring. Gay delivered bupkis.

Was adapting this to UConn overall, not just UConn NBA players.

Different sport but keeping it in the UConn family, George Spinger. Hall of Fame talent but he's been hampered with injuries throughout his career and it for sure kept him from a couple more all-star appearances and a couple more monster seasons. World Series MVP, most home runs in a single World Series, 4 time all-star, 2 time silver slugger.

After a brutal '24 season he's having a wild bounce back season for the first place Blue Jays where he should get comeback player of the year, possibly another silver slugger, and some MVP votes. It's hard to believe he turns 36 in a few weeks.

No one fits this better than Cliff
