Typically when will we start landing the next round of verbsls? Is there a certain signing period coming up?

Any guess on our next recruit?
 
We are on CWill's short list. I know she cut it to 8. Not sure if it's shorter than that now.

On March 1, she had 16 points, 5 steals, and 2 rebounds. That was in just the first quarter.

When will the next recruits verbal?

Is there a signing vs dark period. Sorry I'm new to this aspect of the game.
 
The early signing period starts in early Nov., I believe. I think CWill plans to make her 5 official visits. I'm not sure, but I think she said in Sept.

It's down to 7 and she said she'll cut it to 5 soon, I assume very soon since CAC's season ended the other day.
 
Williams is just a guess, I've seen it mentioned that she was down to Baylor and Uconn, but Is favoring Uconn. It's a little believable because the person who said it, also said Alexis Morris was going to to deflect from Ucla and pick Baylor right before she did.

Why on earth would anyone want to go to Baylor with everything that is going on there. Mulkey is also a hot mess.

Expecially when you have an Amazing Once in a Lifetime Opportunity to go to UCONN and play for Geno, CD, Shea and Marissa.
 
If Williams decides in the fall I wouldn't be surprised if a guard like Honesty Scott-Grayson verbals by the end of summer.
 
Going way out on the limb. Right after she rehabs her injury she will shock WBB forcing every other coach in the country to literally "throw in the towel" vs the Huskies. The next commitment will be:

I don't think we are involved with HSG any longer.
 
Going back almost two years I thought CW was a UConn lock with her unofficial visit and friendship with LG but I would say it's 50%-50% right now........I think you may see an early commitment from a forward like Aliyah Boston or a point guard like Anaya Peoples, Zia Cooke or Jordan Nixon depending on who gets offered

2018 Nalyssa Smith tweeted that she'll announce her decision on her brother's birthday in late August. UConn is on her list of 9 remaining schools.
 
Would love to see Smith at UConn but I tend to think she is going to stay down south...........hope I'm wrong...............

Smith staying down south seems to be the consensus. Will have to wait to see if she visits Uconn before making her decision.

I agree that the next verbal could be from the 2019 class. I would add Samantha Brunelle to your list.

NaLyssa Smith is a 6'2" forward from TX currently ranked as the #4 recruit in the 2018 class by Hoopgurlz. She lists UConn as one of the schools she is interested in.

What I'm hearing is that CWill is the only 2018 guard we are still pursuing. That means that HSG is out. I've heard that HSG's effort is inconsistent and her mother is too involved. Geno really likes and wants CW.

Which bigs in 2018 are we still pursuing? I think Nelson-Ododa and Smith. I'd be thrilled with either.

We are involved with a handful of 2019 kids, with Brunelle being the major target. Others of interest include Boston and Peoples. There may be a few others.

I can't get a good read on Brunelle.........based on her attitude/stated goals UConn would be a no brainer but she has shown equal interest in a few other schools.........UConn is going to be loaded everywhere but at the four in two more years so she has plenty of time to wait if she isn't sure.......if Aliyah Boston wants UConn she would probably want to lock up that commitment sooner then later

Brunelle does have a scholarship offer from Uconn. It has been reported that Uconn is one of her favorites; others have reported Uconn is a strong favorite. We shall see.

She actually first tweeted that she "hates cold weather and snow"... then later deleted the tweet.

Take that for what it's worth.

Smith could still end up at UConn.. why you ask? Because recruiting makes absolutely no sense.


I think UConn's next commitment is Christyn Williams.. I'm all but ready to write UConn next to her name.
