I think he will recruit the Midwest really well. Yes we was out of his league in the ACC, but he had some bad breaks with injuries and talent leaving earlier than he thought. I still think he could be a good head coach. I understand why there are skeptics.

How so? Point was that KO knew he was on the way out, no question the school would have negotiated some kind of buyout to avoid exactly what has happened and if he had any sense in his head, he would have taken it. Again, this guy is getting $8 million and he assaulted people.

Fired for cause vs a resignation in lieu of firing. Basically, WSU doesn't want to go through what we're going through, and has a sugar daddy to pay for it.

If WSU had an out, they wouldn't pay. We did.

The math is actually simple. Marshall was making $3.5 million and the buyout is $7.75 million over 6 years or $1.3 million per year. That means Wichita State could pay a new coach $2.2 million per year and come out even.

Yeah but why pay him anything when based on what we know it seems pretty clear you could fire him for cause.

As earlier posters point out, there must be info they really don't want to become public... like 8m dollars worth of info

It isn't that KO had to learn something the issue is 2 polar decisions by respective universities
