Wow. My cousin played and did well for the Shockers during the late 80's and 90's. He is pretty close with X man and apparently McDaniels influence remains strong in Wichita. So, I suspect his endorsement was quite the feather for Marshall.

With that said, who cares what X thinks. Marshall is scum and needs to go.

Sometimes what the well intended Casual Fan misses is how difficult it is to dribble against a guy as quick as AG with such a low center of gravity, when he pressures full court. Just out of frustration and tiredness, the tendency is to pick up your dribble.

Props to Alterique for landing at a premier program and immediately carving out his place as the starting point guard. I hope he puts it all together this year and excels.

Regarding all the other crap, Marshall, players leaving, an investigation, I hope the Wichita State program gets it together so that the players there can have a good season.
 
Wishing Al the best. He could still carve out a nice career for himself overseas.

Watched Karl Hobbs handcuff taller players more than once-although honestly he was not close to AG in sheer talent-but he WAS tenacious.
 
Could there be a worse coach for AG. The guy really is so overdue for something to break his way.
 
He was gonna start and now there's 0 risk he gets beat up by his coach. Play a season, then go make $ in Europe. Or go turn pro now

Up to 40 coaches and players allege mistreatment. Providence has hosted many many opening round NCAA’s over the years but nothing approached the pieces of crap that rolled in from Wichita. From the fans, to the coach, to his wife. Pure trash. This surprises none of us that witnessed that year.
 
This is a better situation for AG than if Marshall stayed throughout this year.

Whoever is the new coach can just focus on basketball. 7 of their 13 scholarship players are brand new at Wichita State, so there's already a new culture to develop there.

Having AG be that veteran tonic can be a huge opportunity for him plus he'll get all the minutes he can handle on a team that is projected to be in the top-half of the AAC.

Not likely, but Wichita pays a ton and he’s worked there before (although that might actually hurt him here if people claim he was complicit in anything Marshall did).
