That Sestina kid looks like he would be a great addition based on his stats and game logs. I always try to judge these kids from non power conferences by what they did vs the better teams. He had 10pts and 3 boards vs Ohio St, 16/10 vs URI, 14/11 vs TCU, and also scored double figures each time they played Colgate who is in the tournament this year. Theres going to be many more to come, so lets see what all our options would be. Im sure that staff is paying very close attention.

In 16min against North Carolina this yr he tallied 7pts and 6rebs. Would really sure up our front court with Carlton

Good post. I'm sold.

I would say I'd worry about him being a defensive liability, but I just watched UConn's worst defensive big man ever this year so it would be an inevitable improvement.

The fact that the answer to the second half of this sentence is no longer Jonathan Mandledove is bordering on the absurd. #cornonthecobb

Rayjon Tucker from Little Rock is going Grad transfer too. 20ppg and 7rpg. Played well against some big teams this past year. 6-5 guard who can handle the ball.
Against...Nevada 21pts/ 4 reb, Tulsa 24/10, Memphis 29/4, Georgetown, 16/14. Shot 49% from the field and 41% from 3 this past year.

Nate is a good one to consider. Let's see what the month of April brings. We should know by then what our roster looks like.

Keep your eye on Asante Gist from Iona. Played for Hurley at St. Anthony, from Jersey City, has already transferred once. If we decide to go the grad transfer route for a PG he is our most likely option imo. Excellent ball handler.

I wouldn't be thrilled with this. Short, below-average shooter who turns it over a lot.

Obviously he’s young, but 41% shooting as a big man is pretty shocking.

39% from 3 helps make up for his 42% from 2. Keeps him efficient overall. Hope the 2 % increases as he gets older and stronger.

I always remember this from this guy when he was with Florida Gulf Coast:

I would like to see us bring in a big body. Like 6’11+ who can take up space in the middle and be a defensive presence when Carlton gets in foul trouble or needs a break while we recruit our longer term solution. Almost every high major team carriers this type of generic tall, long presence in the middle we havent had one in a little while.
