The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.

The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.
Yeah, it's the logical inference of the statement, given the juxtaposition of the two statements. But there are a bunch of people in the world who will deny it because we don't live in a world where most people can make basic logical inferences. It's either explicit or it's over-reading to many many many.View attachment 108586
Sounds like an ACC slam to me.
In seriousness, a game like this shows how hard it is for even heavily favored teams to finish the job. Duke "should" have several more championships than us, but we've finished better than anyone in the sport for 30 years, either as favorites or as underdogs.Final score, 6-5.
Even if it’s a deep routed- irrational dislike at this point. It is forever. Same with Quse. Thanks so much to all those who chose to roll their eyes and not listen to me about Houston and Coach KS
It would be sad if the majority of us were rooting for Flagg, because UConn vs Dook is more than a rivalry. You put that uniform on after trolling us and you choke that means I rejoice. Never will root for Flagg. The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.
Have a nice summer. The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.
Uhm no. If he came here I would root for Flagg. Not at Duke sorry. The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.
I think he was saying his league wasn't a toy poodle league. I don't think though that it was so much the league as it was the old men versus boys argument we've talked about here many times. Dukes youth and immaturity showed at the end of that game. Maybe then if playing in the Big 12 matured his team more than the ACC he has a point.

Duke was a very good team this year, I will not take anything away from them. The thing is, outside of Duke, the ACC was a steaming pile of garbage this season yet nobody in the press says a word about it. If the current Big East had a somewhat similar season, the press would be falling over each other calling it a low major with one quality team. Hell, if the prior Big East (the one that put eleven schools in the dance two years before it was dismantled) had a season like that the press wouldn't stop talking about it, claiming it was a conference with a lot of overrated programs.Yeah, it's the logical inference of the statement, given the juxtaposition of the two statements. Actually, a stat I never hear ANYONE away from this board discuss is the fact that we are 12-1 in the Final Four.In seriousness, a game like this shows how hard it is for even heavily favored teams to finish the job. I mean.... that's pretty damn good.
No we can hate the SEC and Duke the same amount at the same time. Duke basketball is the most professional or I should say they have spent the most money on their roster of any team in the country. So they need to fail. The Duke fan forum was....pretty classy for the most part.
Our energies are misdirected hating Duke.
Their fan base and program is solid. Just like ours.
Your real enemy is the SEC. Quit being played
Compared to every other program except Indiana, it's absurd. 6 Titles in 7 Final Fours is a statistical anomaly.Actually, a stat I never hear ANYONE away from this board discuss is the fact that we are 12-1 in the Final Four.
Let that sink in
No one can compare to that in the modern era, not even close

Then MSU didnt even make it worthwhile getting their doors blown out by UNC, I can’t believe I was actually rooting for UNC in that game. And the one loss came in what was basically a home game for Michigan st.
we can all now root for Cooper and his new Utah Jazz uniform! It would be sad if the majority of us were rooting for Flagg, because UConn vs Dook is more than a rivalry. You put that uniform on after trolling us and you choke that means I rejoice. Never will root for Flagg.
Why does this bother you so much? The media hype was overwhelmingly Duke. His statement brings back Khalid’s “We shocked the world” memories. They slept on us back then. Duck Fuke! Duck the media disproportionate hype of that program.Sorry but puuulllleeeessssseeeeeee…….
Dude you were a #1 Seed!
Yeah, people were really “sleeping” on Houston!
Such an underdog! A #1 seed taking down another #1 Seed?
Yeah, Kevin no one saw this coming....
True. But they're not the kind of fans who would name all their kids Zion or Cooper. That's SEC country. No we can hate the SEC and Duke the same amount at the same time. Rooting for Flagg in that scenario is like choosing to watch a girl you broke up with make out with another dude. Like why?Really? I doubt that. Once he picked Duke he was dead to me. I was so glad to see him lose and miss the potential winning shot. I think we have some closet Duke fans on this board. Yuck!
i was not…glad they’re out!The majority of us weren’t rooting for Duke but we were rooting for Flagg.
