Good Luck Liam!!!!

C’s fans. Liam to replace Hauser? potentially. 28 doubtful.

Would you like Kalkbrenner?

Brad is cooking something up, I think Hauser + Simmons will be used for a big. Hellll no I do not want Kalkbrenner at all haha

I would gladly take Kalkbrenner at #32. I would not at #28. I'm not sure he can move well enough to stick as more than a deep bench center. So no guaranteed contract.

Liam would be a terrific addition, but If the Cs move up I think it's for a big or Kasparas. If by some weird fluke he falls, sure. Seems unlikely. Side note: Liam is being pegged as a Hauser catch and shoot guy who won't need to make plays like he was forced to at UConn. Eh...why waste him? In my view the reason the Celtics would want him is precisely because he does bring that element that Hauser lacks. He can attack and move the ball and with quality players around him, that's valuable.

Kalkbrenner can be a solid NBA player, but he will need some seasoning. The deep drop coverage that he is used to playing at Creighton where they conceded the open 12-15 footer won't cut it in the NBA-many players, not all, can knock those done routinely where the PPP would be well above 1.0

Kalkbrenner will have to get better with defending the pick and roll and just playing on the perimeter.

Yep, which is why I wouldn't give him a guaranteed contract. He's a great fit at the very top of round 2. He is very likely to spend time in the G league.

The projections of where he can potentially land is all over the place. I've seen everything from lottery to late first round.

Good luck Liam

Agreed, and seeing how Edey (one of the few players to play a more aggressive drop in college than Kalkbrenner) played this past year. I don't think he's a starter, but a solid bench big is doable.

The Magic fan site (they seem to be able to get some inside info) think McNeeley is on the team’s wish list

Would be a long wait in the green room

Or maybe never came back from his injury until fully healthy. He must of been injured as he was awful after the injury besides the Creighton game for the most part. Shooting was woeful. I'm guessing he is being judged by that and he isn't a shifty athlete to get around people. He is mostly just north to south dribbler.
"I think it's definitely misleading," he said of his shooting numbers. "I played the second half of the season with an injury to my ankle, so that definitely affected me. But now, I'm 100-percent healthy, and I've been shooting it great."

Yeah but scouts are human and they just didn't see his good shooting or any real athletic talent to separate from defenders. He is strong and could surprise if he shoots well.

Maybe my 2nd favorite team OKC will get McNeeley. They could use other shooters. Never mind going to Sacramento.
