Good game UConn...

Pastner seems like a good guy but he is at Memphis, the recruiting practically does it self. Going back to the '80's Memphis always produces 3-4 high major prospects a year. He will get better as a coach but he isn't there yet.

He's only 36...if he's this good now...how good will he be 5 years from now...10 years from now?

That's why we gave him a massive, and long contract...it's an investment in our future.

Probably not a concern to University of Memphis fans, IMO...

Our front court lost the game...

Austin, Shaq, and Pellom got a total of : 20pts, 11reb

That simply won't cut it...but, there's plenty of time to learn before March.
Early this season this was our issue. Not saying its fixed but its much better. Just stay hopeful as its fixable (or improvable), we can testify.

At 2.65 million, I doubt he's leaving. (And that's not our max)

He would leave for a job like Arizona...but they're doing fine.

I was really impressed with Memphis today and I think Pastner is a much better coach than people say he is. We already know he's a phenomenal recruiter, but the man can also coach. His team competed hard today and got all they wanted out of his timeouts. It's amazing how much more class Memphis fans have than the scumbags from Syracuse, Pitt and the Catholic 7. It's nice to have a healthy rivalry between two great programs.

Our last three games are:

Louisville
@Cincy
SMU

Then the AAC tourney...that's where our seed will be decided...we have 13 days, and 3 games to prepare for that.

I think you guys have some great talent and could do some damage in the tourney. Got to watch out for those short fuses though could get you into trouble.

Really finding myself liking Memphis, just wish we weren't in the same conference. Good game Tiger fans.

Really crazy game. We didn't get much out of anybody besides the great performances from Shabazz and Boat. We played no defense and didn't rebound. But we attacked the rim and were able to get to the free throw line and we didn't turn the ball over. Huge factors in the game. Great win. Great crowd. Glad to have Memphis in the conference as they are a very solid team.

Jackson, Johnson and Goodwin are really likeable players. Pelham and Dixon talk more with their mouths than they do with their play.

This feels like a rivaly in the making. I'm not suggesting we print t shirts or anything, but the ingredients are there, let's see if they continue to mix right.

Dixon and Pellom are transfers...Mizzou and GW...Pastner took a chance on them and I do agree they have a ton of upside...but, yeah, they do talk a lot.

Oh man I said that all day today….last game Pellom was worst tan this but when he kicked nolan he made a comeback as a with Dixon a real close 2nd……the rest are real likable and just play!

Still hoping we're out of this conference in two years, but would also like to take Memphis with us.

I like Memphis almost entirely because I like UofMemphis the poster on this board. He's a gracious visitor and not near the two faced backstabbing piece of garbage that Senore from UL is. I also like to watch Pastner. I can't stop marveling at how he looks exactly like Ben Stiller and Julia Louis Dreyfus' love child. Just uncanny.

Wow. I don't think Senore is nearly that bad. What did I miss? He got a little defensive, largely on the football board. Is that all?

You missed him completely and violently trashing UConn and the Boneyard on the UL board and then coming here and acting like our good old buddy.

The Memphis games were both great because there wasn't any threat of either team taking the air out of the ball.

We fans knew we were going to be entertained for 40 minutes by high caliber athletes who know how to play ball.

Memphis is a fun match-up for UConn. They are a very good passing team, unselfish, they play hard and are unrelenting in attaching the basket at all times from all angles.

I appreciate the compliments...I just remind myself I'm a visitor here, were conference brothers now, and act accordingly.

Also, UMemphis, just took a peak at your board and obviously there is a lot of criticism of the officiating. Any fanbase would complain after a loss with a big free throw disparity, whether it is justified or not - our board does the same. Just let your brethren know that the idea that Duke Edsall would favor UCONN is absurd. Even though his brother did coach at Uconn, he is now one of the most despised people in sports by CT sport fans and I'm sure Duke knows that.

UofMemphis is a class act. The perfect example of how one should act on another team's board.

Great game today UofMemphis and best of luck the rest of the way.
I am guessing he has a ton of experience coming over to another team's board after a loss...

This is what I said over there: "when you glance at the stat sheet the FTs catch your eye...but to me the game was lost because Goodwin, Nichols, Pellom, and King went for a combined 20pts, 10rebs"

Just my view.

Pastner looks like he's becoming a better coach.
I must apologize for questioning Coach Pastner's integrity when it comes to recruiting in the past. By all accounts now, he seems like a high character guy and I certainly applaud his decision to suspend a player who doesn't adhere to his rules. It was easy to assume that he was filthy-dirty since he had been part of Calipari's staff (well-documented World Wide Wes shenanigans), but it is incongruous to think that someone who enforces language standards would turn a blind eye to that stuff.

I've missed UL and Cincy...this year feels like an old Metro Conference race.

Instead of Cincy, Louisville, Memphis, Va Tech, FSU...you have Cincy, Louisville, Memphis, SMU, and UConn

I like it.
