Wow. I don't think Senore is nearly that bad. What did I miss? He got a little defensive, largely on the football board. Is that all?

You missed him completely and violently trashing UConn and the Boneyard on the UL board and then coming here and acting like our good old buddy.

The Memphis games were both great because there wasn't any threat of either team taking the air out of the ball.

We fans knew we were going to be entertained for 40 minutes by high caliber athletes who know how to play ball.

Memphis is a fun match-up for UConn. They are a very good passing team, unselfish, they play hard and are unrelenting in attaching the basket at all times from all angles.

I appreciate the compliments...I just remind myself I'm a visitor here, were conference brothers now, and act accordingly.

Also, UMemphis, just took a peak at your board and obviously there is a lot of criticism of the officiating. Any fanbase would complain after a loss with a big free throw disparity, whether it is justified or not - our board does the same. Just let your brethren know that the idea that Duke Edsall would favor UCONN is absurd. Even though his brother did coach at Uconn, he is now one of the most despised people in sports by CT sport fans and I'm sure Duke knows that.

UofMemphis is a class act. The perfect example of how one should act on another team's board.

Great game today UofMemphis and best of luck the rest of the way.
I am guessing he has a ton of experience coming over to another team's board after a loss...

This is what I said over there: "when you glance at the stat sheet the FTs catch your eye...but to me the game was lost because Goodwin, Nichols, Pellom, and King went for a combined 20pts, 10rebs"

Just my view.

Pastner looks like he's becoming a better coach.
I must apologize for questioning Coach Pastner's integrity when it comes to recruiting in the past. By all accounts now, he seems like a high character guy and I certainly applaud his decision to suspend a player who doesn't adhere to his rules. It was easy to assume that he was filthy-dirty since he had been part of Calipari's staff (well-documented World Wide Wes shenanigans), but it is incongruous to think that someone who enforces language standards would turn a blind eye to that stuff.

I've missed UL and Cincy...this year feels like an old Metro Conference race.

Instead of Cincy, Louisville, Memphis, Va Tech, FSU...you have Cincy, Louisville, Memphis, SMU, and UConn

I like it.

I would just say that Josh spent a decade with Lute Olson as a player and coach...he spent 1 season with Cal...he's much more a Lute Olson kind of guy.

It's tough for UConn to foul when Memphis was getting clean drives to the hoop.

Plus, look at the box score. Goodwin had two fouls in 44 minutes?

Memphis' execution out of time outs today was fantastic. Never been a big Pastner guy, but he coached a great game.

I like Pastner. Seems like a class act.

BTW, Thank goodness Memphis is in this league.

I was at the game and was really surprised when I saw the FT discrepancy after the game. Really didn't feel like that wide of a gap. A lot of that has to do with UConn giving up tons of easy layups and Memphis challenging everything at the rim. However I do feel like there were a few out of bounds type plays they got wrong (both ways.) Also, I didn't have the benefit of know what happened on that loose ball play at the end of regulation. If it was a jump ball it would have gone to Memphis. Did the shot clock run out? Did we got awarded a time out? Was your guy out of bounds when he was touching the ball?

The scrum with 16 seconds left in regulation was a shot clock violation.

There was also, though a tie up before then that gave the ball to UConn.

Right. Thus giving Memphis the next one. It looked like the initial call was jump ball.

Kinda funny now, but when we got the alternate possession I think with like 5 minutes left my buddy and I had tempered excitement knowing there would probably be a crucial one down the stretch and they'd get it.

Yeah Memphis was too fast to foul. Jesus they are quick.

Pastner seems like a good guy but he is at Memphis, the recruiting practically does it self. Going back to the '80's Memphis always produces 3-4 high major prospects a year. He will get better as a coach but he isn't there yet.
Never had much to say about Cronin until I watched the Cincy loss to SMU - he was a complete idiot, acted like a little kid. Instead of taking it to his team who played horrid, he vented at the refs for everything. It was truly classless. Cincy has had a really good year but I am not sure they have the discipline to take them far - they have the seniors and the experience.

Cronin seems like a fine guy. The one time he said, "I'm gonna physically rip those jerseys off their backs." made me think of the Fine family, but other than that he's a good coach.

And Memphis will be a tough out in March if they keep running like they did today. Not many physically conditioned teams out there. Thank god the Husky Run boosts our cardio and stamina game.

SMU was probably going to win that game regardless but that was a completely one sided officiated game. I think the refs got baited into a lot of calls from the crowd. Mick was very frustrated that night.

Speaking of classless, what is more classless then Calhoun whining that Mick Cronin didn't vote Kemba Walker 1st team All Big East? Especially since it wasn't even true. I've also personally heard Calhoun ask a UC fan, on the way to the locker room for half time, if he wanted to fight and that he'd "see him after the game." No one ever said you had to be a classy coach to win. Jim Calhoun is the #1 example of this...

I must have missed the last decade of Cincy dominance...

This guy has been talking down to the Memphis fan all thread. I hope both continue to get better and better but only one of these programs has consistently been relevant for the last 15 year and its not Cincinnati.

Congratulations, you found some insane way to compare Mock Cronin to Calhoun. Let me assure you that is where the comparison ends for now and forever.
