Yes- as I open this thread stating a short handed Oklahoma team made Gonzaga’s D look like Swiss cheese.Gonzaga doesn’t impress me on the defensive side of the ball at all. I guess if you can shoot 65% to your opponents 50% than so be it but that model won’t work forever.
Could you please clarify? All I see is a well-coached team playing hard. Not aware of any program-wide shenanigans, but maybe there are some.I have lost respect for their program after their shenanigans. Hope Creighton chokes.
Yeah just can't do that against the Zags. Because the Zags don't do the same (they're the best shooting team at the rim in the country).Creighton has missed at least 5-7 point blank layups in this game. Looks like us...
I really hope Gonzaga wins it all.Does our big east fellow have a shot at the upset verse the undefeated Gonzaga?
I think this Creighton team plays better defense than people think- my major concern is Creighton’s depth- really only play 6 impact players. With that said, I do believe Gonzaga is beatable- although their guards are tough & grind- their bigs look soft- I actually think they should be playing the big Watson more- he brings toughness & a physicality that the other bigs don’t.
I saw way too many straight line penetrations to the basket by a short handed Oklahoma team last week that gives me concern about Gonzaga.
I think this game might be closer than what the public thinks- especially if Creighton can stay out of foul trouble.
This post aged poorly. As I said on the first post- Gonzaga D not good- straight line penetration all day for Creighton.
Oregon and USC have looked terrific in this tournament too.Baylor is the only team with a chance to beat Gonzaga. I figured they’d fold after facing the Pepperdine’s of the world for months, but nope. They are legit. I can’t believe how good they are.
