they're getting killed now but Niels having a good game
Giffey had a great game. Knocked down a bunch of nice shots and played tremendous defense as usual. Had a nasty block in the second half playing some nice help defense down low. Shame for Germany's team that their point guard's decision making makes Russ Smith look like the basketball equivalent of a Rhodes scholar
Hard work for the NBA dream
While several EM driver by the expected reinforcements coming summer by NBA rookie Dennis Schroeder and Co. play in Slovenia for their future in the national team, Giffey should have this place safe. "I appreciate him his versatility," praised Menz. "He is the prototype of a shooting forwards who can also throw in half-distance, from dribbling with his back to the basket, which can triple throw." Moreover Giffey convinced with his defense, is also struggling offensively at any rebound. "Actually, he has the whole package, he just has to be physically stronger," said Menz. Even for a dip in the best league in the world would have to be the youngest starter lanky body still upholster something. "It is a narrow path," Giffey said to his NBA aspirations. "I have the prerequisites for it, but have to work extremely hard, that I have a little chance." He hoped, "to apply for me" after his upcoming college last year on a training at an NBA club. And that dreams can come true, Giffey experiencing in Slovenia. (AP)
I think he would have more confidence to shoot if KO shouts "schiessen die basketball" when Giffey has an open shot. Heck the student body should shout it out as well! This is great. NG has always been a favorite of mine. Hope he can start draining those threes with consistency.
Seemed like a lot of what was holding NG back early on was mostly mental. He should have the green light this year and hopefully he can put shots up without hesitation to get in a better rhythm, get confident and comfortable. The kid's stroke always looks good even when he misses.
He will be our super-sub. No team will have a better, more experienced, 6th man
I am a little worried about him getting offered a big contract to play in Europe. Great news that his game has really come around- bad news is all of Europe saw it happen. I have to believe he will come back- but you never know. Hope he has a girlfriend on campus.
