?? I was making a dry joke about Allie, not Sarah. I'm not quite that dumb, though that has been a point of debate in a number of circles.

Replying to a mistaken post admittedly sets up potential confusion. Not to worry.

TBH, they both do that. Jana seems to be a better rebounder but she is also slower and far less athletic. On Jana's best day and Serah's worst, they are even. On most days, Serah is better. I would say our best 5 had Blanca in for Serah but not now. Blanca's game has suffered a lot from the long layoff.

We are NOT the best team in the country right now. We might not even be second.

I agree with all of this. I think we are better defensively with Serah over Jana. And we are probably best with Blanca and Sarah as the front court.

And we do need to get Blanca back up to speed. I think ucla and South Carolina are a little better than us atm. She looked a little better against Georgetown. So, let’s call that progress.

Does Allie have a pull-up jumper in her tool box? I don’t recall her taking any this season and she will need one next year if she is going to assume Azzi’s scoring load.

We are still No. 1 and best team right now, in my opinion. The only thing that I see that could keep us from number 13 is that missing 3rd dependable shooter who plays excellent defense. Teams will double/triple team Azzi & Sarah and find other ways to reduce their production. Reliable 3rd shooter would help deter this action. Making free throws, layups and not making turn overs will help also.

Holding teams to 50 ppg and scoring 88 ppg are both better thn last year. If I were still a betting man I wouldn't bet against Geno and the team against any team in the country

She is not better than Harmond,Miles or for that matter Hildago..All three of them are not only great defensive players but score at a high level and have 6.7,6.7 and 5.4 assists per game while KK has 4.8 per game.I think KK is really good but not in their class

They ran the gauntlet last year with KK at point, those others got to watch her on tv. She may or may not be as good as those 3 but she's a perfect piece for UConn.

Against teams with very big front lines in the NCAA Tournament (ex: UCLA) Geno is going to need to go BIG at times (Sarah, Serah, & Jana) with Azzi and Blanca in the backcourt, to effectively deal with size matchups (Better to work out the kinks against teams like Georgetown and early in the Big East Tournament than far into the NCAA Tournament)

Is there any NCAAT quality team, or any team for that matter, that has a line up from 5 down to the 2 of 6'5, 6'4, 6'2 and 6'2 ? None that I have seen or heard of. I'd go small and laugh as they tried to beat our press.

Wasn't it K. Chen that ran the point last year? I just know that K9 is improving very quickly. KK needs to learn to shoot better; K9 also seems to be a better passer.

UConn was blessed with many players that could initiate the offense last year including: Kaitlyn, KK, Ash, Azzi, Sarah & Paige. At various times they all ran the point. But during crunch time the ball was usually in Paige’s hands.

I agree that Blanca is pretty far pff her best game still. I don't think she ever belongs in the post. Sarah can play it with Blanca on a wing. But UCONN will need Williams or Jana ( if not both) to give some valuable minutes when the going gets tough. Sarah can't do it all, every game.

UCONN is clearly the best team in the country They could've won the last game by 50+ points if they kept in Sarah and Azzi. This season has been one of the great all-time seaasons in their history. Go on ChatGpt or micropliot to compare. They're just a tremendous team. But they aren't pros. And the NCAAT isn't set up in a way that the best team will nearly always win. .

But there’s no one in there that approximates the overall value that Bueckers brought to last year’s team. They haven’t replaced her and in a tight game against a quality team, that’s going to be a problem.

Yea, that’s the unknown. But I like this team’s depth, and the defense is the best I’ve ever seen at UConn.
