It was definitely poor sportsmanship by Coach McGraw and by Beth Cunningham, who you can also see not clapping. I can't dispute that.
It's water under the bridge now...I'm sure she regrets it, and the NC game settled all scores the only way that counts...on the floor playing the game. I have great respect for Muffet as a coach, and her team is fun to watch. Here's hoping she adopts some better motivational strategies this year...

The Coach of the Year would not applaud for the Player of the Year. When Muffet said the game had lost class at the top she was right if she meant herself. PS would never have done that. It was a year of snide remarks for Muffet and her attack on Geno and her dissing of Stewie were the final acts of classlessness. Loved the Championship beat down. I'll forgive, but not forget.

And another very good article by Dan Wetzel on the subject.

Best lines:

"This is the rabbit hole of sub-bylaws all bureaucracies want to go down, while tsk-tsk'ing that rules are rules. In this case, it was Bylaw 13.1.3.1.

The NCAA doesn't just have too many rules; it has too many people obsessed with those rules who, in turn, keep writing more rules. It has too many coaches and administrators who see everything as a recruiting advantage that needs to be curbed or eliminated. It has too many compliance folks who think nothing is just a nice gesture."
After a while, the fun just goes out of stuff. Our town sponsors an annual parade. Floats from a variety of entities, including the local schools, are entered. Students used to ride on the floats. Now, all they can do is walk along side. Had a problem been identified that was fixed by prohibiting float riding? Nope, just wet blankets being wet blankets.

SEC but not Tennessee, hard to pick a likely candidate...recruiting competition from Kentucky, South Carolina and TA&M...the latter two seem unlikely for a variety of reasons...Kentucky worried about Erin Boley...LSU worried about Kalani Brown...?

A refusal to comment is not uncommon and is certainly not a admission. There was a report Dawn gave a shout out to Davis on some media platform (another Philly alum) and is working with Geno so seems unlikely and Gary ... doubt it. I would think B1G of one of the mid majors is more likely to 'protect' their perceived recruiting territory than SEC or Pac, but who knows.

Uh..The fact that some un-named "source" in the UT athletic department sys that Tennessee did not do it, is NOT conclusive proof that Tennessee did not, in fact, do it, or "cause it to be done". Jes sayin.

The cause it to be done language is the key. The unnamed source said that the university didn't make the complaint. They did not say that the university did not ask the SEC to file complaint. That was what they did the last time.
