Gabby can dunk? I doubt it. Jefferson can come close? No way.
And so how many rebounds did Jefferson get because of her hops that she couldn't have gotten due to her quickness? And her 1 block that game meant a lot? Stokes had 4. IMO that means a lot. Along with intimidation. Maybe you can say on the defense end because she has hops it intimidates other guards. But she is a pg - she guards pg's her size. I was bringing up whether a 5'9 player can be a part of a successful/elite team. IMO we need to be a fastbreak team or have some real, real good posts (I consider a pf a post thus Maya is. I realize she shot a ton of 3's and wasn't a post player but when I refer to post it's due to position in name only- and a pf in name only is referred to as a post.) to offset the small size at the pf and c positions. Once Stewie and Tuck go- I think we need real good 4's and 5's (or at least 1 of the 2) in order to be an efficient halfcourt team. Otherwise a 5'9 player at sf without real real good posts, you have to play hyperfast three ball.
It's a "limitation" vs what we are accustomed to. We'd have to play hyper fast being small at the sf along with not being real, real good in the post.
As for Jefferson, I'll take as a preference her ball-handling, court decsion making/awareness, shooting and quickness over her "hops" ability.
