Sue Bird is 5' 9". He looks the same height.
I’ve stood next to him and I’m 5-8. I’d say 5-9 sounds about right

No you’re not going to go up to someone you don’t know and say “take off your shoes.”

I know I can get by with pants with a shorter inseam than before.

Looks like he's got bad knees and is getting bow-legged. More lowering.
I believe Geno torn an ACL many years ago goofing around and playing a little 1-on-1 with his buddy Harry Perretta. We never grow up, do we?

During Geno's on-the-floor post game interview, he was the most upbeat and animated that I have seen him this year. And no wonder...
Noticed this as well. I think Geno finally sees enough progress to realistically project Final Four & a legit title shot in March.

The team is finally playing UConn basketball: composed, movement, screening, shot making, strong defense, collective rebounding, hustle, low TO's, not beating themselves, the right contributions from expected players in their respective roles. Regardless of how good our star PG is, Paige was not going to single-handedly elevate this team to Minneapolis without her teammates pulling their weight.

For Geno to see this from this short-handed group having overcome so much adversity, knowing that key cogs Paige, Liv, & Caroline will return before postseason play, he was understandably ecstatic. And he always wears his heart on sleeve, so readily apparent how he feels at all times.

They still have to convert layups more consistently-- this issue will beat them in March against quality opponents. But a lot to smile about moving forward.

I think I read years ago that he was 5'9". If that's true he's probably down to 5'7" by now. I have lost almost 2 inches in the last 20 years.

Losing all that height sure hurts! I was just over 5'9" my whole life until a couple years ago during a physical I was told I was now 5'7 1/2". I bet the half and likely more are now gone also. So much for wanting to be 6'. Didn't even make that when I was wearing platform shoes back in that day!

I was 6'4", athletic all my life, and now at 87 am a tad under 6'3'. It is inevitable.
