Doesn’t matter. Bowen has ties to PC, was just at their game, and wants to officially visit again. They’re a major threat for him.

If we break through this year then I expect we will become more of a threat in the future. Although outside of a player like Bowen, Ed will make his hay in the transfer market. We have been in the final two or three for a lot of top players, that in the end prefer the shiny object and the big name. Ed and PC shine brighter after you have been somewhere else for a year or two. I will put this out there. Bryce Hopkins, currently at Kentucky.

Didn't Hopkins have PC in the top 3.
 
UConn: “I’m from Connecticut, so it’s my hometown school. It’s only about 40 minutes away, which is appealing. Obviously, UConn has a great history with them winning national championships. That’s appealing too. They think that I would be impacted well with the way they teach defense and their toughness. I know coach (Dan) Hurley brings out toughness in people. I think that would be a good thing for me.”

Check out what he says about PC. I get the sense UConn isn't recruiting Bowen any more.

I think Bowen would more easily switch to another school to play with somebody than Griffiths would. That is all gut though, I have no idea. It was a heck of a game and an atmosphere to get Bowen to experience though. He had a big smile in his face as the PC coaches and players were leaving the court. The Dunk was still packed and loud at that point.

Great game to have recruits at impressive crowd and fun game. Imagine them going to the XL for the Swiss cheese 9K versus Creighton lol.

He needs to get quicker/stronger which will come with his body maturing inside a college program but he certainly is athletic, not sure about head level at the rim like the angle of the pic but he has ups. He can do 360's and put it between his legs in warm-ups and I've seen him catch an alley oop from a pass near the halfcourt sideline, he dunks from a standstill under the hoop with ease. It's rare to have a hometown kid who is this talented and I badly want Griffiths to be a part of the program.

Saw a couple Tyler Polley comparisons on the board, he's not like Polley. He's a much better talent and he plays with a confidence/edge that I like. You can also tell he's a good kid, his teammates really like him and other recruits like him and respect his game.

His hip mobility is probably more of the things limiting his athleticism that pure vertical. He doesn't turn and spring the way you'd hope for from a SG/SF right now. It'll come though--I like our S&C guy so far.

I miss coach Mike’s update pictures but hopefully this guy is making similar progress with our players behind the scenes

Hopefully our apparent loss of interest from Bol Bowen hasn’t affected this recruitment.
