No way. I would be ecstaticHeard a rumor that seems to have some legs that we’re changing logos.
ya know, if ya kinda squint a bit, and turn ur head ever so slightly, the 'stripped' portion of the right side looks kinda like the avatar of that musician guy here, with the cat cartoon saying 'I do what I want.' hmmmm, conspiracy kitty? that guy's got juice. mebbe when they strip off the rest, it will reveal a couple of middle fingers extended? deep thoughts.
@August_West Court at Gampel Pavilion?
Logo change back to 2011 Jonathan would be amazing. More importantly, please turn the lights back on at gampel. Did this happen because lack of fans at the games? The atmosphere at gampel with the lights on is WAY better than lights off. This is speaking from a fan that went to every home game in 2010 and 2011 when the lights were on but it was electric almost every game. Can’t say I’ve been to gampel since but on tv it looks no where near the same.
I think the hill I’m gonna die on is turn the lights back on at gampel.
I was thinking about putting that along the home sideline.I do what I want
I don't know they didn't burn the AAC logo off 8 seconds after the season ended.Don't know why they don't wait until next year to do this
Commissar Lamont may still have the state shut down until Jan 1 2022 - because that's what Cuomo tells him to do
I don't care what the floor looks like as long as there is college hoops starting in November
The team is looking nice and I think we all are eager to get going
Bring it on
I guess it's personal preference. I prefer no house lights just like they did it in the Field House back in the good old days. The spotlight then is on the court, not on the entire arena.Logo change back to 2011 Jonathan would be amazing. More importantly, please turn the lights back on at gampel. I’ll bite ... just MBB/WBB is changing logos?Heard a rumor that seems to have some legs that we’re changing logos.
It looks cool but it’s too heavily tied to a dark period for our program and a garbage conference. It needs to be done away with.Am I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.
I think the new logo with a redesigned court and Big East logo is going to look great.
As great and classic as the previous logo was, it was a bit outdated and derpy.
I've grown to like it - but it could be so much better.Am I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.

No the new logo is awesome and I don't know why people want to change it. I'm fine if they tweak it but please never go back to the white SamoyedAm I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.

Did they though? They paid good money for the current one
I love the new logo. It looks much better on apparel imo. Golf shirt with new dog embroidered in the corner=sharp. Old dog=your either 5 yo or 100 yo. The old dog doesn’t translate to modern apparel and materials.Am I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.

Not a chance. The current logo is such a basic design.Did they though?
You are not. I love the new logo, its sleak, modern and an actual Husky dog. We are the UConn Huskies. Not the UConn Samoyeds.Am I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.

I couldn't agree more. Like the current logo, prior one way outdated.Am I the only one that likes the new logo? I think it’s so clean, and looks great on sweatshirts and such.

Sigh... True, but our mascot was a white husky for decades. The change to a more generic looking husky abandoned decades of tradition. Our former president Susan Herbst said that was done because there’s no such thing as a white husky. She was wrong. You are not. I love the new logo, its sleak, modern and an actual Husky dog. We are the UConn Huskies. Not the UConn Samoyeds.
My issue with the current logo is it's not recognizable outside this area. The old logo was recognizable and had winning attached to it. I don't see winning programs completely change the logo. It was just a cash grab for UConn and Nike.
Simple is good for brandingNot a chance. The current logo is such a basic design.

If we were to read design the Husky, I would hope we would return to using a white husky. UConn is the only school with a white husky as its mascot.
1935-1947: A cousin of Jonathan I, the second Jonathan was an Eskimo Husky, and started the tradition of an all-white dog as mascot. He debuted November 8, 1935 at rally prior to the annual football rivalry against Rhode Island. In September of 1936, Jonathan II chased Brown's bear mascot up a tree, and it took Providence police and fire fighters to retrieve the animal.
(This used to be on the school website until the "memory holed" it.)

It might be nostalgia ( eh, not might be..... Ill own up to it, its 100% nostalgia) , but old jonathan> new jonathan x1000. Of course I have apparel with both. And in the grand scheme of things, who cares, Ill wear them all..... but give me that fat white fluffy husky face every day. It's so funny. UConn has no problem changing logos but when fans ask for throwback jerseys crickets. Even the gear they have been putting up with the current logo is lacking. That's my real issue. At the end of the day, make the logo whatever it is but stick with it for good. No other college athletics program in the country changes their logo as much as UConn and it hurts branding. the 2013 change was an obvious cash grab. You don't need to modernize a logo every 10 years like they have been. Alternative logos, fine, but your primary you gotta stick with one and live with it. Pick one, call it a day, win some games sporting it, and fans will stop complaining.
