The other schools in the SEC 2022 recruiting: Content is from Raoul over at wbbblog.com
From time to time I like to see what the other 11 wbb schools in the sEC are doing are doing in recruiting

Most all of them have offered Cooper and Watkins. The links below are to Raouls's wbbblog.com . A quick riser in the wbb recruiting circuit for 2022 is Taniya Latson (Raven Johnson's Backcourt Mate for 2021)

AR. I think their immediate strategy is the transfer portal

TxA&M: Same strategy as Arkansas

UGA Almost back to elite in recruiting

FL

TN *Still the standard in the SEC-always going to have good to great classes

LSU
Slow start to 22 but she loaded up in 2021. If you don't think Mulkey is a great coach-then you need your head examined.

Kentucky. The mens side helps recruiting here

Interestingly enough-wbb blog is not currently tracking Mizzou,Ole Miss,Auburn,Alabama, and Vanderbilt

Amihere on the Canada Senior Team for the Americup. Cardoso (They have her listed as Kamilla Silva) on the Brazilian Senior Team. Boston and Henderson on the USA team. Some people (not me) would say that's 4 of our 5 starters for next season.

Brazil defeated El Salvador 118-43 today. Canada plays US Virgin Islands tomorrow at 11:10 am EST, and the United States plays the Dominican Republic tomorrow at 5:10 pm EST. The Dominican Republic lost to Argentina 64-46 today (Friday).....

Kamilla with 16 pts, 12 rebs, 2 ast, and 3 blks in today’s easy win over El Salvador.
In 18 minutes.

Edwards/Amihere vs Boston/Cunnane/Prince vs Cardoso is an interesting round robin.

She went down to 5? This is the list I saw earlier this year.

Yep, I don’t remember the schools but I saw it on Twitter. If I can find the source I’ll post it.

Brazil defeats Colombia 79-56 to advance. Kamilla Cardsoso Silva finished with 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting in only 14:02 minutes of playing time, with 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. Not sure why she played so few minutes, but her team didn't need her to, especially in the 2nd half. Colombia led 28-27 at halftime, then was out-scored 52-28 in the 2nd half....

Latson is already down to a top 5 and SC isn’t one of the schools listed.
Thats because SCar did not offer. Taniya is a 2G only at this point in her career. She is not needed as a 2 at SCar

The fact that you saw Coach play Boston and Cunane together should tell us Cardoso and Boston will be on the floor together alot. Might even be starters if its the best lineup.

I am not shocked but pleased Henny won starting PG over Owusu. Owusu is considered one or the best PGs in WCBB. I think with a good showing she moves into the first round on 22 WNBA Draft

Actually, Veronica Burton got the start at PG. Henny entered the game 4:29 minutes into the 1st qtr. she ended up playing the most minutes of all the USA players. Owusu, who also didn’t start, was second in minutes by 20 seconds. I expect to see Dawn playing around with her roster during these pool games so Destanni could find herself moved into the starting line up.

For Canada, Amihere has shown me alot against Brazil. Her footwork on drives is really elite. Did a number on her new teammate multiple times.

Good close game between Brazil and Canada. Nothing to write home about from Cardoso. Played less than 7 minutes, went scoreless with 2 boards. LA made her look like she was wearing cement shoes.

LA with some really nice play particularly in the first half. Scored 11 in 12:49 of PT. She also had 1 reb and 1ast. Canada chose not to play her much in the 2nd half. She displayed some nice moves on a couple of her scores but my favorite from her tonight was her knocking down a jumper from the elbow late in the 1st half. That is what we really need for her to show for the Gamecocks next season.

Wings/Aces play a 6 on League Pass, followed by USA/PR at 9:00.
I’m off to mow the lawn as the humidity is not so bad right now in S.C. so I’ll watch those games later on replay. Enjoy! ;)
