Half the kids here I'm not surprised about. They'd like to go out on a high note. They've been important pieces to this team in live games. Can't blame them for taking advantage of the opportunity to make that happen...

Congrats to these young men on their achievements...

Just wondering, how many schollies do we now have to fill for next season's roster?
Hope you are right. I hate to lose 3 starters off our offensive line.

losing 3 OL starters is tough.. Didn't see the DeGeorge and Leone thing coming... our young pups better be working their tails off between now and next Fall camp.. ALSO, we probably need to sign a Grad Transfer and another JUCO to help out. just makes too much sense. If we don't would mean expect another down year.. you can't have a weak OL when you haven't shown much in real games the last 3 seasons... just unacceptable

FWIW- over the past few weeks the staff has been following a few more JUCO OL than in the past. I could see us bringing in one JUCO or grad and two more high schoolers for four new OL altogether.

DeGeorge has been moved in and out of the line up. The staff was seeking more physicality.
He lost his starting job in the Central Florida or Indiana game ( I don't recall ) but it looked like he has started every game since then. I was wondering if his replacement got hurt. I think it was Robert Holmes

Because Edsall said they will honor all the graduating seniors...but some maybe back for their fifth year.
I think some listed as graduating are waiting to see if they are asked back By Edsall to play next year but want to “graduate and walk” on Saturday with their teammates.. if they are asked back and want to stay they will be able to do so.. unfortunately I think DeGeorge and possibly Leone are definitely moving on..

I was worried yesterday when I heard 15 about Cam and Nino. I can't blame them but this makes rebuilding harder when you can't develop guys to get their best in their senior year. Now Hubbard and Holmes need to step up and we will need 2 juco/transfer O linemen imo.

I think Holmes got injured sometime around the Tulane game. He's played since but has been hurt I believe.

Declassified view here

>>Fifteen UConn players, including some with eligibility remaining, will be honored Saturday as part of Senior Day festivities, though Edsall declined to say who those players will be.

The Huskies have only eight players who are out of eligibility. Edsall said he’ll decide after the season whether to welcome back certain fourth-year players with a year remaining but that some had already come forward to say they wished to celebrate Senior Day.<<

Either SK or JZ should find success in this game. Both teams have lousy defenses. It should be a shootout.

Still think a windy cold day helps UConn and not ECU, but I could be wrong.

On losing the lineman, I think it may be they don't fit the future plans and that the others are as good or better.

Stinks about Nino. Maybe he thinks he has a shot as a pro and why put in another year in the college game? If he heads to another college program it is a real loss. Then again look at Tyler Davis, he had better stats here than he has put up at Georgia Tech and would have been a big part of our offense if he was here this year. The grass isn't always greener.

For some of these seniors, they've won nine games in four years. Can't blame them for leaving or looking for a better opportunity. They know that next year will probably be another tough one.

I give Matt Peart a lot of credit. He stuck out his commitment for his fifth year. He could have gone to another program but he said UConn gave him the opportunity to play FBS ball and he owed the university and especially his teammates that extra year..
He was taught to never quit and was brought up not to give up if things don’t go your way..
I’m going to miss watching him play On saturdays but I know he’s got what it takes.. inside and out to make it at the next level. Good luck Matt!
