After his trip to San Antonio two years ago Geno decided not to play with a traditional big and go with speed and athleticism. It works most of the time
He had no choice after losing recruiting targets Wilson & Cox.

UConn is down 7 at the half and Ogunbowale is 4-14 and 0-5 on 3-pointers. Oh, and Jackie Young is 1-4 with 2 points. More hard-to-believe stats.

I'm late to the party. Seems like I've missed a lot (and Uconn as well).
SMH. Come on Huskies. I missed the first half so.... Show me something.

This is the type of game that the Miss.St. loss was supposed to prepare you for. What have we learned?

At least once they have to make Mabrey move off the perimeter.

As well as the team on the floor is doing now, Lou will have to come off sooner or later. This current iteration with Z, her and Collier up front would ordinarily not leave the floor through the 4th.

Collier just jogging back on defense turns a rebound into a foul. No excuse.

Doesn't look like the Irish are going to fold. Huskies got within 3 but it's back to 7 now.

Even after all that we're still down 7. Both offense and defense are a problem.

The 2001 team was supposed to be the best team ever, and they never put it all together. Hope we're not seeing the same with this group.

UConn's real chance now will come in the 4th if and when Gabby comes in and controls the pace of play. If not, it's looking tougher and tougher.
