Guzan definitely saved the game for the US. Outshot, 19-1?

A little misleading ... 19 shots but only 3 on frame. While Guzan played very well, I wouldn't necessarily say he saved the game for the US. It was really just a solid, well organized, ugly performance by the US ... with a few poor Mexican finsishes sprinkled in. The Zusi "back check" was also a highlight.

Considering the injuries and other absences (I'm looking at you, Donovan) getting a draw in Mexico is a huge result. I am glad to see the next crop of player performing respectably and our depth improving.

We now need to get a "difference maker" to move up to the next level.

Mexico had a lot of opportunities and had the offside trap beat a few times because of a staggered back line, but the recoveries where there most of the night. I like the three young CB's so far, Bradley and Dempsey. Everyone else needs to work on something.

Point!!!!!!! Ugly, lucky, but still a HUGE road point. We need to get healthy come June and pull at least 7 points out of a possible 9 at Jamaica, v. Panama, and v. Honduras.

16 total points is usually the magic # to finish top 3. (Maybe a little lower this year with so many early draws). It will still be US, Mexico and either Panama/CR top 3, with one of Panama/CR v. New Zealand in a play in home/home.

No Castillo Cherundolo Spector Chandler or Jermaine Jones. Throw in Donovan. Beasely held his own. The keeper saved the game.

Take the point and get out. Best of what we could do here folks.
