Rare athlete, you don't usually see women skying for rebounds and deflections like she does, she's like Rodman with an offensive game.
She is only 5'11' playing against players 6" taller. Gabby is simply the best athlete on the floor.

Anyone know her measured vertical? Never seen a women's player leap like her before.

No idea on vertical but she jumped 6'2. 25 as a sophomore in high school, the highest mark ever for a 15 year old. She wasn't even a high jump specialist, girl is an incredible athlete.

Geno said a couple weeks ago that Gabby has only scratched the surface of her abilities. She needs to improve her handle and perimeter shot if she wants to go pro and I'm sure Geno is working on that.

Deep, you're awfully cranky today. Good thing I know you're a lovable curmudgeon.

Mechelle Voepel for ESPN: "Which brings us back to comparisons. Auriemma said one player whom Williams kind of reminds him of is Kevin Freeman, who helped lead the UConn men to the 1999 NCAA title. Freeman had the kind of drive and determination that we're seeing now in Williams, although he wasn't really undersized at 6-7."

She played on the same HS team as Tammy Thomas.

She is so much better at her level than Freeman was at his though.

Actually, Gabby has a great one dribble handle. Whether it's a blow-by from the top of the key or a spin move around an imposing post, she has incredible ball control when she's moving with a purpose (that purpose being to end up with a wide open look at the rim). She bounces it more than twice, I hope she's not in traffic. But one puposeful bounce to get her where she needs to be -- I'm not sure there's anyone in wcbb today better than Gabby at that.

That's the most of the women's team this year I've watched and she was mesmerizing. I thought the best comp was she is a female Dennis Rodman. You watch play after play and she looks like she's playing in a different speed, like she's in a different atmosphere as the rest of the world. Players would do all they could to box out and it didn't matter, she just found the angle and the perfect time to jump to steal boards, unbelievable.

Collier also seemed huge at being able to time her jump to tip a board away, honestly Ollie should be taking the big men to a Geno practice to try to learn this the way they do it. They did not have the biggest players last night, but they seemed to get so many more rebounds just on adept timing

Napheesa has incredible hands and quick release. Some of the passes she catches from Gabby are incredible and the rate she can finish in the paint is equally impressive. She's better at making mid range and deep shots than Gabby. But no one has the ups Gabby has. I wish Amida had the ability to catch passes the way Napheesa does.

Recently Napheesa was brilliant while Gabby and Katie Lou struggled. But the 100th win was definitely because of Gabby.
