FYI: UConn/UCONN

Nobody likes it when it’s called “The University of Uconn” ?!
I remember that. Of course, I was pretty happy at the time so it didn’t matter.

It's interesting that on this site sometimes when I type UConn it autocorrects to Uconn. I'm always like WTF on a UConn fan board they do this?
In a galaxy long ago before the Empire made up such a thing as 2 letter postal codes . Every state was known by a legitimate abbreviation
Connecticut was Conn.
The University of Connecticut is abbreviated UConn. Proper. names even in the abbreviation form are capitalized.
If your interested the former plus the new can be found

Actually the old way was less confusing for states like Minn vs Miss
Maine didn’t have one and states with two names were simply R.I. or N. Y.

.-.
The golf world has this debate with The Players/PLAYERS tournament. How do you spell it/say it?

Who cares IMO.

Looks better in caps.
As I read the article I was thinking to myself this might be one of the most ridiculous arguments ever. All capitals just looks better on uniforms, sweatshirts, and signs.

.-.
Just call us Connecticut again.
I loved those uniforms last year. Hopefully that becomes the norm, minimally as an alternative jersey.

I think "Connecticut" is B1Gger but I have been converted to typing UCONN on the BONEYARD.
