Furman Postgame Thread

-Unreal performance from Tarris
-Our shooters (Mullins and Ball) need to WAKE UP
-Need Silas back for Sunday

Thank the Basketball Lords for Tarris Reed. Without him UConn might have suffered an upset to a 15 seed and would have been the biggest storyline of the NCAAT. Everyone on the team should donate 10% of their NIL money to Tarris after that legendary performance. This wasn't an exhibition or a cupcake game in November-this was the NCAAT. Hats off to Tarris. The Kodiak attack saved UConn.
Agreed. The crowd was foaming at the mouth every time Furman did something. Never been so relieved to win a first round game.

Reeds performance is on a the short list of best UConn NCAA performances of my lifetime.

The chat room was as toxic as ever.

We need Silas back.

AK, as always, hit some huge shots.

We need either Braylon or Solo to hit shots. I’ve given up on the fantasy where they both play well.

For those of you hating on Malachi, he had 7 assists and only one turnover. Our terrible execution forced him into some bad end of clock shots, but all in all he played well.

Hopefully Reibe can forget this one.

Its incomprehensible just how poor some of our guys are defensively.

We’re still in the tourney and that makes me happy.

Tarris was a MONSTER! Alex had a decent game. Ross played strong defense in the second half. I don’t know what’s going on with Ball. Survive and advance. I was in Albany when UConn struggled against Iona in 2023, I remember Brimah sending us into overtime against St. Joes in 2014. First round jitters

Most important thing is that you survive and advance, and UConn did

SHOUTOUT BIG HOSS TARRIS “WILT CHAMBERLAIN” REED!!!!! Completely dominant, completely unstoppable

Karaban had a really good second half and overall solid game to complement Reed

With the exception of Mali’s and Ross’ defense on Wilkins in the second half, incredibly scary performance from everyone else that makes me very nervous

But they survived. They advanced. Bring on UCLA!
