OT: Friday Sweet 16 Games

Miami looks to me like a legitimate rival to UConn in terms of athleticism. And that’s saying something, because I don’t think any other opponent so far this year could make that claim.
I just looked at their schedule. They had a really good season. Beat a lot of good teams, their losses are to the upper half of the ACC.

They are a legitimate threat. They could easily be the best team left.

Creighton is a very difficult matchup for Princeton. It may be for the best, SD St would grind Princeton into dust.

Creighton could be very dangerous if it starts getting any production from its bench.

Rewatching some of the Alabama game and they regularly just had guys in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Oats coached a bad game too. I have no idea why he had them fouled down by 2 with 46 seconds left. Also he needed to call a time out when SD St was coming back from 48- 39

Weird tournament. Except for Princeton, all double digit seeds were gone before sweet 16. If Texas loses, no 1 or 2 seeds in elite 8. Good year to be a middle seed.

If Miami holds on, this Tournament is suddenly wide open.

Imagine if we beat Gonzaga and then have to go through Xavier and Creighton to win the title, after Hurley talked about how great it is to be out of conference play.
You test my resolve to keep looking no further ahead than the upcoming game.

Bama/Houston were two of my biggest concerns match-up wise.. Things trending in the right direction.. Lets bring it tomorrow

Kalkbrenner doesn’t seem like he wants to be out there. Very little effort on the offensive or defensive ends.

Princeton is a legit good team, shocking that they seem just as athletic as Creighton.

.-.
The Big East should offer Princeton, Yale, and Harvard invites if they are raided by the B12.

I am guessing that everyone rooting for Princeton has not met anyone from Princeton. It is a university of pretentious rich kids who having nothing but contempt for anyone not from Princeton, Yale or Harvard.
Ivy's nowadays are more diverse than some big state schools, especially those down south. There are still a decent amount of legacy kids that come from money but it's not the ivy league of the 80s

The basketball players are nothing like that.
