Friday NCAAT games

Kentucky who beat Elon, 73-60, gets to play Ohio State who beat West Kentucky, 70-63. Neither team impresses me, but I think Ohio State will win.

Ohio State played like it was Saturday night at the Y. Unless they shoot a very high percentage
as they did against Maryland, they won't be able to beat a good team.

Love hearing Mary Murphy on the call of the Oregon St-LBSU game.

Oh dang it, they're switching to the South Carolina-UNC Asheville game. UNC-A is the fourth #16 seed in the tournament. SC should beat them by 50, with or without Coates.

Uh oh Oregon St. Shooting 50% from the floor, have a huge rebounding advantage, holding their opponent to 30% shooting...yet trailing by 4? 9-1 disadvantage in the turnover department, that's been their achilles heel.

also LBSU is hitting 3's and OSU isn't apparently

Long Beach State is giving Oregon St all they can handle, up 24-23 midway through 2Q. In fact, this is exactly how they beat South Florida. Pressure defense and creating turnovers. And Syd Wiese just went to the bench with her 2nd foul.

Whoa. LBSU just hit another 3 and puts them up by 27-23. Timeout OSU.

Man that Stockton region. All this talk about Maryland whining, I can't believe Dawn Staley complained about that region.

The numbers tell you Oregon State is better than Maryland.

Depends on which numbers you use. The computer formulas (Sagarin & Massey) sure don't.

Yup and because women's basketball has to be like men's basketball the committee uses RPI/SOS to determine who is truly good or not. When in reality you can't do that in this sport.

Oregon St. regained the lead 29-27, Gulic missed two bunnies in a row to extend the lead. Beach gets a 3 at the buzzer to take the lead into the half. Wiese is scoreless today.

Can you imagine how unimpressive the representative the Stockton champion could be if South Carolina gets upset or FSU doesn't start playing like the FSU from earlier?

Women's basketball cannot afford to get the Final 4 wrong.

Man how does Gulich miss those two wide-open layups in a row. That should've put OSU up by 4. And then LBSU puts up a very difficult 3 and it goes in to put the Beach up by 1.

LBSU is 6 of 11 from 3 and turning OSU over left and right.

I have no idea how she missed either of those shots. She missed a FT on an and-1 prior just before that too. Their leading scorer so far but she should have more.

Wiese needs to play like she's capable of in the second half, hit some shots, take care of the ball and don't pick up more fouls.

The other half of the bracket is so subpar compared to UConn's half. Great job committee.

And thank goodness UConn doesn't have to face the "grind" of all those secondary SEC teams during the year or else they'd lose in bunches.

Alaina Coates is not sitting on So Carolina's bench.

Kevin McCreary Tweet:

USC official told me Alaina Coates not on the bench bc she is getting treatment & trying to rest her ankle. Tempted to cheer when on bench.

This sound fishy to me. Is there another reason Alaina is not playing?

Oregon St beginning to take control of the game against Long Beach St. LBSU going inside and unable to get good looks due to Oregon St's defense. If they're to pull off the upset, need to hit 3 point shots.

Ore St 46-45 with 8 mins to go!

And Mizzou has come back on USF
Purdue still leads GB comfortably

The Beach goes on a 7-0 run to take a 1-point lead.

Oregon State's players look like they're running around in cement. Beach has hit 10 3-pointers. That's more than half their points.

This OSU-LBSU game is insane. Beach is down 1 but they have the ball with 21 seconds to go.
