Let the mocking begin!Big East 1-0
The announcer tried to talk about it, but the replay team would only show the block and rebound which were clean and close but not a must call respectively. They never showed the drive again.First Jones is gifted free throws for nothing, then KS clearly fouled on the drive, then on the rebound. Congrats Xavier. Looks just like our first loss to them.
People just like seeing upsets. I hear you though. We want the conference to do well and certainly not lose a 3-14 matchup. It's really strange to me we had UConn fans in this thread rooting for Xavier to lose.
PC lolKennesaw's Coach Abdur-Raheem will get a better job soon. If he can win there, he needs to coach at a better school.
Upsets are more fun than any sense of Big East prideIt's really strange to me we had UConn fans in this thread rooting for Xavier to lose.
it's not just pride, though. when a BE team wins the in the NCAAT, win share money gets distributed to all the teams. I personally root for BE teams, but if others want to root for the upset that is their perogative (spelling).Upsets are more fun than any sense of Big East pride
It will be sweet when Xavier runs through Texas and HoustonUpsets are more fun than any sense of Big East pride
that's St. Mary's for you.St. Marys is also the Gaels. That’s interesting. This game is tied and yet feels boring. The pace is just excruciating.
Yeah I'm aware. If my rooting for Kennesaw State had any tangible effect on them not winning until the last seconds I apologize for the money I tried to take out of UConn's pocketsit's not just pride, though. when a BE team wins the in the NCAAT, win share money gets distributed to all the teams. I personally root for BE teams, but if others want to root for the upset that is their perogative (spelling).
Play in 16 seeds bumps 2 teams up to 13/14/15 that would previously have been 12/13/14. That and COVID 5th year seniors helps offset some of the underclassmen talent advantage of high majors, especially because it seems less likely for high majors to get the 5th years to stay (more opportunities to play professionally). These 13, 14,15 seeds are pretty good. The gap seems to get narrower every year. 30 years ago, these high seed mid-majors had trouble getting the ball over half court at times. Almost anyone can get knocked off if they don't play well.
