Nowell with 8 points in 15 minutes a 101-58 blowout over Coppin (4-8 shooting), no assists or boards. Averaging 6-1-1 on 39-21-69 splits and is basically the ninth or 10th man in their rotation.

Abraham with a nice game against Wagner. Shot 4-5 (2-2 from 3) for 12 points and 5 boards in 23 minutes. Averaging 6-3-0 on 46-30-67 splits.

Even before this game, he’s shown an ability to get the line. Haven’t seen a second of his play this year, but he’s doing better than I thought he would. Still wouldn’t be getting any minutes here, but still…
 
In hindsight, Adams ability to get mauled consistently because of his frame would probably translate well to college reffing. If he ever fixes his shot, which I think is likely, he’ll probably make a great college scorer.

seems he found his perfect landing spot. He’s just efficient enough to play as a freshman and his free throws help set up the D for that team.

Had 15 in a win against UNLV and is now averaging 13 and 5. But is shooting 32% from the floor and is 4-30 from 3. That’s just hideous.

I watched the whole VCU/NC State game yesterday and was shocked at how little Nowell played, searched twitter and google news afterwards and didn't see any reporting of an injury. Only played 2 first half minutes and right away dribbled himself into a trap near half court that resulted in a jump ball(retained possession) but other than that didn't really do anything that would signal he wasn't gonna get any more minutes, and Nyk Lewis didn't play all that well himself.

Does anyone remember him doing this again? I swear that he did it a second time the following year with like five seconds left. Not as egregious, but still having absolutely no clock awareness.
 
I had a weird dream on Saturday night that Ryan Boatright was playing his sixth year of eligibility at Oakland (the school that Greg Kampe coaches at), so I guess that's relevant to this thread?
 
Bundalo hasn't appeared in the last two games at all for Ole Miss, and there's zero info on him on the interwebs. In the preseason, there were articles about Ole Miss bringing in their highest recruit ever, a McDAA, etc. And now crickets.

I looked for an Ole Miss sports board, and (unsurprisingly) there's a tiny blip about basketball amongst 384093209 football posts. Their "fans" don't even know who is on the team because they flipped their roster. I'm actively avoiding work, so I looked and their roster this year is nine portal guys, four freshmen, and two returnees. So the "fans" have a point.

All i remember is it was more seconds on the clock than the Texas one and on the play I think something happened wit the refs calling time so it ain’t count lol

Maybe that's why it didn't get much play at all. I just remember being absolutely dumbfounded that it could actually happen again.

OK, back on track, I would be hard-pressed to think of a single transfer that evokes a feeling of "the one that got away."

Some guys have had decent careers elsewhere, but I can't think of any where both:
1) their performance was significantly better at a new school, and
2) we didn't have a better replacement to take their spot

Yes, Carlton was better with Houston than he was here, but not as good as Sanogo. Curtis Kelly was behind Thabeet and we had capable backups.

Gilbert, Floyd, etc., needed a change of scenery and we had better guys coming in.
 
Watched a few minutes of VCU-South Florida in the second half and Nowell struggled and got a quick hook. Airballed a 3 that was short by about three feet, turned it over, and turned his head on D and got lost for a dunk and a sub went to the table to get him. Ended up with a short 3-minute shift.

He did make a 3 in the first half and got a couple boards in more extended run - when starting PG (Lewis) sat with two fouls. Didn’t watch that part. Had a first half live ball TO that led to a USF fast break layup.

Ended with a line of 3-4-1 (1-2 FG) with 3 turnovers in 15 minutes. For the year in six games, 5.5 ppg, 1.1 apg (7 assists and 7 turnovers in about 80 minutes), and 4-15 from 3.

He may get more chances in this 3 in 3 days tourney and hope he makes the most of them - he’s clinging to a spot on the edges of their rotation.

I remember being really bummed that we lost Enoch and Juwan Durham, as I thought both had tons of talent. Enoch turned into a 9-5 guy for pretty good Louisville teams and even showed a decent 3-point touch. A guy like him would be a good player in our system under Dan Hurley. Durham became a solid player for Notre Dame, but injuries robbed him of his potential.
 
Mahaney with 26 yesterday in an OT win over Long Beach State (7-16, 1-5 3FG, 11-11 FT). Missed the 3 to win at the end of regulation but started OT with a bucket. Had 3 assists and 2 turnovers.

Nowell with just 5 minutes tonight in a lopsided win over Samford (2 points, 1 assist). A quick 3 minute shift in the first half and the final 2 minutes of garbage time (when he had a layup). They played a lot of guys - but he was their 11th man.

Earlier this week: Abraham with a solid 11 on 4-7 in 18 minutes of a win over UMBC. Adams was 3-12 for 12 points (2-4 on 3s, 4-6 on FTs) with two assists and one TO in a win over Wagner.

There was the Scott Burrell full court pass and "The Shot" by Tate George. Then there was the full court Rosco Smith "What the Sh#*t!?!?" heave.

Roumoglou is averaging around 3 ppg and 4 rpg. His 3 point shot just isn't falling, but he's 89% from 2. Chris Mooney, the Richmond coach, constantly rotates guys in and out. Even starters aren't really getting starter minutes. In many games, all 5 starters are on the bench before the under 16 timeout.

AR's defense and rebounding are much improved. His assist numbers aren't where they are due to bad passes - his teammates are often blowing wide-open looks. Overall, his numbers don't tell the full story. He's not a star, but he's a very serviceable role player for Richmond and brings an Isaiah Whaley style energy when he's on the court.
