Stewart played 23 minutes, though most were in the 1st half with Mullins in foul trouble
I was replying to the poster who said that Stewart did do anything in the 2nd half.

I have no idea why Dan Hurley took out Malachi after his euro step to go up 8. I assumed it was for a quick 30 second rest until the under 4 timeout but then he stayed out. Luckily it didn't matter
At the time I was thinking it was because of FT shooting.

I think once we figure out how to deal with teams switching virtually everything our offense will be better. But, Silas and Malachi need to offer some type of threat to put the ball in the hoop. Silas especially, he is all in his head. Watching highlights from last season and now watching him these last 2 weeks it is literally two different players.

You could see in the early games we struggle to rebound and it is still an issue. Tonight we gutted out an up and down performance. Reed and Smith knocking down 2 foul shots each late was huge.

Mali’s world baby. I don’t care if he starts, he needs 20+ a game

Reminding myself that Newton had some downs in his first year too. A lot on his shoulders, but he’s a great, proven high major player. He’ll bounce back
Maybe so, but Malachi is playing with so much more confidence and guts. Hopefully Silas figures it out, but he doesn’t seem up to the task right now. Not sure why Malachi is having more fun out there. Maybe a difference in personalities.

Just touch the screen with two fingers, pinch and push out towards the perimeter of your screen.

Heck, I do that five times a week trying to read grocery labels. I look at the label, see it's too small, try to zoom in with my fingers, and then it's FML. Then I pull out the ole mobile device, open up the camera app and magically I can read labels.
Lol, thank you for the remedial phone use tip. I just would rather be able to glance down and see it in full..

Got to give Florida credit, they played really, really hard. Golden gets those bigs active and tenacious. As poor as their backcourt has looked, that 3 man combo down low is elite and makes them a very good team.

Stew played his best minutes of the year in the first half, as was a great matchup for him defending Haugh. Not sure why his minutes got slashed in the second half.

Starting to become a little concerned with Silas. I know we always compare him to TNewt in figuring this out, but for the moment, he's look startingly bad. Poor decision making is the main concern. Malachi has fully outplayed him against good competition. Thank goodness for the depth on this team. It's 100% our strength.

I know it was his first game back, but after the first few minutes, Tarris played like he was drunk. I don't get it with him sometimes. His inability to maintain consistency & intensity is always puzzling. Especially when Florida has three bigs that can.

We should now get to that 5-1 mark we were aiming for, likely would have been 6-0 if at full strength. Now we can take that into the BE to figure out how the rotations should look with Mullins being more deeply integrated.

Demary and Malachi need to start hitting some open shots to open the lane for them. Teams are sagging off them forcing them to dribble into traffic.

Silas actually has a nice pull-up shot. While Malachi showed that he has one too, late in the game anyway
Exactly. On the pick and roll, Demary's defender is going under the pick almost every time. If Demary can average 1.5-2 3 pointers a game like he did at Georgia it will do wonders for the offense. The same thing happens with Malachi, although he played great tonight. The 3 pt shooting doesn't have to be the main feature for Demary or Smith, it just has to keep the opposing defense honest and it will open up the lane for more dribble driving to the basket.

Stewart barely played. I like Ross on D but I do not like the ball in his hands. He is very shaky on offense. That TO at the end was awful. He has trouble passing too.
Stewart played 23 minute shots

Well that’s going to rely on two things. Silas taking control of this offense and Braylon seeing more time on the floor.

Every night you are going to get a big shooting night from AK, Solo, Braylon
I think Demary is undergoing a big adjustment. If he stays positive I think he develops ahead of Newton's pace. Nice to have Smith in reserve while that happens. And yes -- Ball and Mullins at the same time is going to be a big step forward for this team. But just about everyone has room for improvement (although AK has been huge of late).

Stewart played 23 minute shots
I was replying to the person who was asking why he did not score in 2nd half. I said he did not play many minutes in 2nd half.
