Yes! Winning isn’t everything. It’s the only thing! This isn’t 6th grade intramural for Pete’s sake. This was a game we led for about 37 minutes and lost because of a few dumb plays. Was it a tough loss? Of course. But we had opportunity after opportunity to get a bigger lead and we missed shots, turned the ball over, let rebounds go off our hands. We played good enough to lose.

I hate this middle school crap. We’re proud of our team we are we are Whether we’ve orcwhether we lose. We went there to win. We didn’t. It sucks.
Another one of my aforementioned drones.

I really don’t get the Liam Hate
He had 22 points plus three assists.
So he was responsible for 41% of our points . Yet is being badmouthed by alleged fans .
Karaban and Ball also sucked from the outside , the trio was a combined 6 for 27
about 22% .
He is a Freshman who because of our guard woes had the ball in his hands as much as Diarra .
At least on Liam shots you could say he ended up with the ball in his hands with little time on the clock and had to throw up Some prayers .
If you bet UConn
Then Liam singlehanded won you the money .He managed it to get it back to a one possession game when it was headed for a 10 point loss.
Didn’t anyone remember how bad we were when he was out , Four of our six losses some against crap teams were without him
Even the St John’s game at home was his first game in 6 weeks. Without his injury we’re not playing a tournament favorite 1 seed in the second round
I can’t remember a freshman that integral to our success We put a lot on that kids back and he doesn’t deserve the hostility.

I understand that but if he could of hit some of his layups early on we wouldn't of been in the position we were at. I think we were up 6 at one time and instead of pulling out the ball he went 1 on 3 and missed a layup. I know he is Freshmen but his game didn't progress and when comparing to Steph he was a letdown for me. Good kid but his game wasn't as good as I thought and he really didn't shoot well especiallly at the end of the year when we needed it. He was billed a a great shooter and he didn't live up the expectations. 38% shooting overall and 32% from 3 aren't great numbers for a shooter.

I don’t think anybody hates Liam. That’s a big jump. He played poorly and has played poorly. He’ll be great if he is allowed to mature, finds a consistent shot, and knows his limitations. He needs another year.

Agreed.

He got thrown into an entirely new system and was used strangely at times, but he kept at it. Just needs to make sure his motor runs every game.
Yep looking forward to see what Tarris can do next year and also improve on his D. We do need to feed the beast. Something we did an awful job with this year but part of that was due to the player limitations on penetrating on the court.

Hass's knee was a major reason for this. The kid was an absolute warrrior for playing as hard as he did, but I think if he was fully healthy, our offensive movement would have improved significantly.

Yeah I agreed. Before the injury he was penetrating easily. He gave us all he could on one bummed knee especially on D.

They know what they gotta do.

Personally, outside of Alex, Solo and Tarris, I don’t really care who leaves. (I assume Liam is NBA-bound, but would love to see him back.) It’s nothing we cannot get in spades in the portal.
agreed

I do not recall being upset at all about a no call, more so why he went under the hoop instead of directly at it
I WAS upset about the no call. And, Karaban went for the reverse because he lacks the explosiveness to make that slam.

Sadly that was the third layup where we went with a more difficult shot, like;y hunting for an and one. The refs weren't blowing the whistle if they felt the shooter was searching for a foul call.

We are watching the results on the court. He started off well but fell off a cliff at the end of the year.
What UConn freshman would you put before him? There aren’t more than 10

Why does it matter? He wasn't as great of a shooter or a great dribbler as he was though of. I would of preferred to have Freshman Steph on his year's team over him as we needed someone to penetrate and play great D. 38% overall and 32% 3 point is bad for a shooter. He wasn't a great fit with Karaban. They really were too similar in the long run.

Yes. We need more players that can reliably feed Tarris in the post. He also has to unlearn some of his bad habits, like reaching in at the 3-point line. He's probably had 2 steals like that all season while committing 30+ reach-in fouls. That being said, he's on the precipice of putting it all together and I think will be unstoppable next year when his role is even more clear than it was this season.
