What is it with Weddings during football season, don't these people understand springtime is for weddings, not football season. :)
Seeing a play when you do a matinee and a nice lunch is cheaper. Come on priorities

I want to see a better crowd next week against a pretty good Buffalo team

I’m in CT and my Son in law found the game for me.
As an old OT I loved the dominance of their offensive line and effort of their RB’s
Evers is more of a leader at QB than A true talent. Probably a better option type than pocket passer
The FA QB was scary explosive but we did a great job of containment .
A very enjoyable game to watch especially impressive was the lack of mistakes that have made football difficult to watch in the past .
Hopefully there is a full house for Buffalo
I wanted to go but I’m having some issues
hopefully I can watch again next week

It's a 9 hour drive from my house to the Rent. But I will be at the Wake game. And if you're not there, I will have you kidnapped and shipped to Syracuse.

Was looking at the game notes again and I noticed that Danny Antolovich was dethroned as the backup tackle by Carsten Casady. Danny was the backup tackle all last season and the first 3 games this season. Anyone know if he was injured last week?

Don't get me wrong, I loved it, but it wasn't great execution by Fagnano. He got it close but had the defender been angled a bit differently it was an easily pickable ball.
It was 4th and long. What did you want him to do — throw it away and turn the ball over on downs? He had to take a shot, he did and he got it to where Porter with a really good play could get it.

After Brown got up from his kneel, he pointed at the FAU bench, which is what drew the penalty. Could have been construed as him "shooting" at them??
That's the same type of motion that they penalized the DB for later in the game.

So it doesn't make it a great QB play. It was a great catch on a decent throw. Not stellar QB play as the "Fagnano walks on water ever since Merrimack" contingent seems to think.

Was at the Rent. Great performance. I wish we could have played a couple of these lesser teams to start the year before playing Maryland.
Actual Fannie's in seats was petty poor. Huge swaths of areas with no one around. Maybe 12-15k actual attendance? Student section was packed but they left at the half. Hope more folks start showing up over the next few weeks if word gets around that we've turned the corner

As UConn fans, we'll take "a decent throw" by QB. They've been few a far between over the last decade. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but overall UConn QB's have not been effective passers.

He was in sweatpants as was Murawski.

Honestly I love running games. I think it does 2 things. First it wears out the defense. But it also just demoralizes them just not be able to stop the other guy play after play.
And, it takes us on the "way back machine" to the 60's. Want exciting football? Throw the ball.

Cam Ross with 7 catches for 107 and a TD against the Heels. Not a big, physical #1, but the best receiver we’d had since Noel Thomas. But we had no idea how to get him the ball.
I love Cam but how can you get someone the ball who's on the sideline alot of the time?

I don’t mean to overreact but UConn would probably win the super bowl
Well, yeah, if FAU was the opponent.

CBS Sports App should have replay available.
If you can watch CBS Sports Network via your cable provider or streaming service you can use the App for free.
Just curious why people who know they are going to miss the game don't set their TVs to record it. Seems like an easy answer to the replay issue.

Most UConn fans don’t watch college football outside of UConn. The fans for the most part don’t get football like they get basketball and the school doesn’t really get football either.

Maybe that's true for the fans of the soccer teams, but don't put this qualifier on the general UConn fan population.
Some historical background: Until the late 80's many suburban towns didn't have youth & high school football teams, whereas the industrial towns had VERY competative programs. As more families moved to rural suburbia, (Avon, Simsbury, Guilford, etc.) youth & high school football followed.
As a corollary, interest in college football grew in those areas as well.
When I was a student in Storrs, eons ago in the '70s, one could walk into any dorm that have tvs in the common area & watch the ABC game of the week doubleheaders. When my kids were matriculating in the early 2000's, they would comment about how many of their dorm mates followed particular teams in addition to UConn.

From reading quite a few of your posts, both recently and over the years, I seriously wonder if you watch much football. Perhaps you are well versed in the sport that they call football in London, Liverpool and Manchester, but the version that uses an oblate spheroid, which for a number of decades has been the leading professional and amateur team sport in the US seems to be a bit beyond your grasp.
