Impressive...UConn's running game tonight would have beaten Alabama. The OL were throwing (literally) players around and the RBs were elusive. We'll have our choice of Bowl games and an outside shot at the Playoffs if we run the table. Let's go!

That's the best game a UConn football team has played in a long time. We totally demoralized them in the first half.

Evers looked much better. Defense was great. The line really put on a show.

They showed they can run and control the line of scrimmage. Passing wasn't strong, but for this game with this opponent, they didn't need it. Defense stayed sold most of the game, but still gave up two bum TDs. As the game chat noted, the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties gotta stop. Otherwise, feeling good at 2-2.

Great win for UConn. This was pure domination for their first FBS win and a great way to start off the homestand. Even though there wasn't much passing, Sammis did not make the mistake of getting cute and trying to worry about aesthetics or "balance" he stuck with what was working to great success.

FAU played Mich State tough. This was a solid win for UConn even if FAU is only 1-3 now.

Next week it will be interesting to see if UConn can pass more as I think future opponents are going to load the box. However, they can spread the defense out with some 3 WR formations and run from that, too, to prevent the 8-9 man fronts they will see. I think opponents will really have the mentality of "let's see if they, specifically Evers, can beat us with his passing".

1. Depth. Murawski out and Wayburn fills in seamlessly at LG. Edwards with a low load so Robinson and Brown each rush for over 150.
2. Defense for first half. 0 points, 2 first down and FAU never made it across midfield.
3. Zero punts.
4. On first possession I think Mora ran 3rd down just to get Freeman an easy FG.
5. Evers much more aggressive with his runs after deciding to pull the ball
6. Announcers were god awful but UConn won and they have the game next week too.
7. Referee crew was even worsterer than the announcers.
8. I will bet the under next week against UB. I expect a slugfest.
9. 2-2 which was where many expected UConn to be but I feel real good about it.
