OT: first album, first track

My buddy @nwhoopfan was looking for a new music thread, and I'd been thinking about this for awhile. Every so often, and certainly in some periods moreso than others, an artist comes around that blows your mind, and often the first moment from their first album lets you know you'll never listen to music the same way again.

Good topic. Unfortunately I'm coming up with nothing so far.

(her first single in the US- short version) the long version is just too hot, still, for the planet.
'ahh, love to love you, baby.'

best pipes, ever.
(apparently, 'ven der mond' -Hair-aquarious, let the sunshine in, are her first, first. did not know that till now.)

I can't remember the first album I purchased but I do recall the first 45. It was "Alley Oop" by Dante & The Evergreens. The Hollywood Argyles had a bigger hit with the same song but the Dante & The Evergreens version was more popular on the East Coast.

Sorry @Bigboote, I've bastardized your thread.
Thread drift on the Boneyard? Shocked, I'm shocked!

Except it wan't their 1st album.
This was 1st album, 1st song.

Yep- but I think it was the first one I ever heard from them.

I will also have to deviate slightly from the theme, for me, The Velvet Underground and Nico, 2nd song “I‘m Waiting For The Man“ although the lyrics are actually “my man” and some identify that as the song title. Anyway, my contribution anecdotally, but I have no idea how to attach the song.
The first song of the album, “Sunday Morning” is just ok IMO.

first single released.
'i'm me, me be, goshdam, I am.
I can, sing and, hear me, know me.
if you want to destroy my sweater,
hold this thread as I walk away...'

The first track is Amanda. A good song but not a wow song.
Amanda is the 1st song on their 3rd album. More Than A Feeling is their 1st song on their 1st album.

Really? I can't believe I got that wrong! Then definitely More Than a Feeling is a great example.

Not my first album, that would be pink Floyd wish you were here, but my first foray in a new, for me, genre. Post malone celebration.
